It took you a while to get into your stride on this one, but that is the form we have come to expect
Start mature then go childish is my new PH tactic as it seems to upset fewer people. Smarty raises some good benefits to not being tall. I’ll never own an Esprit or a 308, two of my favourite classics and a night out always carries the risk of being punched in the nadgers by Grumpy or Dopey. Plus, an awful lot of the very attractive girls were always well over a foot shorter.

Wear a cup. Grumpy and Dopey just bruise their knuckles.
I am 6' 1", and the GF height range has been between 4' 10" and 6' 2". There is a lot to be said for the extremes in this case (and for much in between if I am honest. Or as the Highwaymen put it; "Ever since the first I had, the worst I had was good").

Got a picture of what you describe as a "normal woman"? Because nowadays that tends to mean fatties.
When I was a kid, if you were slim, and, well, "normal", you were normal. If you were fat you were "fat".
I think that's pretty much how its been throughout human history until about, ooh, 2015. Since then its all "yeah, you go girl, you are big and beautiful!"
In 2007 the popular songster Mika encouraged the rise of plus sized ladies with a rousing anthem dedicated to their curves on his album Life in Cartoon Motion. When I was a kid, if you were slim, and, well, "normal", you were normal. If you were fat you were "fat".

5 foot 8 here and, well sorry, told I'm good, to very good looking. I wouldn't swap my features for a few inches (of height) and I guess it's horses for courses. I find both tall men and women gangly and some how "not cobbled together right" plus they look worse naked. Give me a petite dusky latina/orimental over a lurch like unit as a rule, not to say I haven't attempted to mount Everest as it were.
I would say uglyism is a worse problem, especial for females. No one's perfect, crosses to bear, be grateful for your health and not being ginger Lol gingers are lush

When a small person bangs their head it's like a coming of age moment for them. Their faces light up. Their self esteem grows before your eyes! The misguided belief that they might be normal, when of course we all realise they are anything but!
Interesting looking at the overall discussion here: guys 5ft7 or 8 saying they are 'short' and 6ft3 saying they are 'tall.
Look at the statistics, 5ft8 is 'normal' for men in the UK at 33 percentile (the actual average being 5ft9 so imperceptible difference), and 6ft3 is 'monstrous'. (top 2 percentile).
You are all basically just miles out on your ideas of what's normal or not, and we discuss openly how women have an issue gauging their weight versus averages etc... Strange

I'd guess that *most* men or women would think something between 5'8" - 6' to be fairly normal for a guy.Over 6' seems to fit into a tall category and 5'7" and below may be a bit on the shorter side.Look at the statistics, 5ft8 is 'normal' for men in the UK at 33 percentile (the actual average being 5ft9 so imperceptible difference), and 6ft3 is 'monstrous'. It depends on age I should imagine. Older men should be shorter than younger men, in the 60’s the average bloke was a couple of inches shorter than the modern man so that will skew the average. I’d say 5ft10in would be about average. 5ft7in is short.Look at the statistics, 5ft8 is 'normal' for men in the UK at 33 percentile (the actual average being 5ft9 so imperceptible difference), and 6ft3 is 'monstrous'. Taking the piss out of small people is fun and it makes up for my inability to find clothes that fit, the limitations on cars I can drive, my inability to use bus seats, all the times I bang my head on ceilings / door frames that are too low, and always looking skinny no matter how much I workout.
It has never occurred to me to take this piss out of tall or short people. This thread has proven one thing so far:Taller people feel they are superior to shorter people.
It is quite sad really.

Some taller people may think that.Taller people feel they are superior to shorter people.

My posts on this subject (I'm 6'1) I hope exclude me from that particular accusation.

Tall people take the piss out of short people. Short people take the piss out of tall people. Same goes for North vs South, and we all laugh at the guy with the posh voice.
Nothing to do with superiority, lighten up

I'm 5'7", which I don't have an issue with myself. My dream car is a Ferrari Testarossa and, having sat in a few, I feel being any taller would make things difficult - it's a surprisingly snug car! But, I did find it rather irksome when I went through a phase of online dating and women as small as 5'2" were insisting that they'd only date men who were 5"10" or above.
Ha! This - the short ones want someone who can reach high shelves, the tall ones want someone equally tall. DonkeyApple said:
Surely someone discriminating by height on a dating profile criteria is doing people a favour? It’s a pretty moronic means to filter people so likely to be being used by a moronic individual?
Another benefit to not being tall?
Everyone has their preferences. I personally have never touched a female measuring below 5ft 9. I couldn't abide a short arse. Another benefit to not being tall?
The weird thing about the heels thing is that it's immediately addressable by, like, wearing lower heels.
