Skinny Jeans - anyone succumbed?
Discussion
I'm 29 and I have a pair of grey skinny jeans, they're tatty as fk as they're quite old and I wear them to music festivals which is pretty much the only outing that they'll get apart from the odd concert.
I've put a few extra pounds on (working on it, 2017 was a crap year) but I still look alright in them as I'm a decent height for my weight/size.
Slim jeans are preferable to me, on the whole.

I only ever buy Diesel Larkee Stretch in 36/32. I'm a bit of a chubber and have 27in thighs and I've yet to find any other pair of jeans that actually fit.
Appreciate that some guys (even ones in their 30's and older) can carry off skinny and slim cut jeans, I however am not one of them!

Levi's slim fit (511 I think). Nice fit round thighs and arse, loose round your calves and with a bit of stretch.
Skinny jeans on an overweight millennial male still looks the most tragic of current trends, despite being around for years. Topped off with a shirt buttoned up to the top for the full special needs look.
I must be too old.

When skinny jeans came out many years ago now, most shops did both Skinny and normal and I expeted it to be a fashion cycle that would fade. However years later, and it seems Skinny has totally taken over.
Went to usual high street shops over weekend, Zara H&M(onkey) and so on, and all they do is skinny jeans or even skinnier jeans I'm tall and have the legs for it but having grown up in an era were women wore skinny, and men worse looser, I am still of the politically incorrext views of these items and gender.
Can anyone name same places/brands that still sells fashionable jeans? Don't want the bland Jeans Clarkson look.
Also curious as to whether anyone older than their early twenties has given in and gone skinny?

Given that skinny jeans generally only fit blokes who have very skinny legs (I'm not talking about slim fit which is fine), I do sometimes wonder why they feel the need to show the world how scrawny their legs are? I quite often see young couples in town, sometimes with quite fit girlfriends, where the guy has MUCH skinnier legs than the girlfriend. Why is that considered to be a good look?

The mrs bought me a pair of superdry 32 slim fits for Christmas which are pretty skinny; I was surprised they fitted when I tried them on in the store, a little bit on the hip side for me but I figure hey, I was looking at upping to 38s this time last year before deciding to do something about it, so I'm gonna enjoy them and fatties can hate
