Flat Earthers- what to do with em
Discussion
Yes, despite the fact that most countries cannot even agree to the most basic of conventions the one that has stood the test of time is this idea that every country needs to keep up the pretence that the world is round.
Absolutely fking mental this lot. But as others have said, harmless enough and does provide light entertainment laughing at their videos.

What's wrong with just attaching a go pro to a helium balloon?
Fisheye lens conspiracy. .... you do not know just who is part of it or how big this cover up is....:-)
Do some research - they're all FLAT.
Camera manufacturers (Big Lens) just want you to believe they're curved because vague reasons something about taxes and the BBC probably.

Is it harmless entertainment though??It’s spread to defacing road signs on the A1M in North York’s and the North East and the fools that believe are often of lower intelligence who are more prone to violence when their ideas are challenged.
Apparently Mad Mike is now dead. Killed by his steam powered rocket yesterday. It’s all a conspiracy I hear them scream!

Welcome to his wake, we were discussing this news already :-)https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.washingtonpost....
Makes you think though that they all must have thought Felix Baumgartner faked all his space jump. He fell for 7 mins odd, mad Mike would have got nowhere near as far up into the "firmament"

If anything, the Mad Mike news article shows they are more a danger to themselves than to other people
In any case, the whole flat earth thing is going to fall on its arse when space hotels open up and they can go up there for themselves. Although I am sure the whole flight, window shapes, or whatever other bonkers things they come up with mean it was all FAKE

I like winding the flat earth idiots up, by telling them to go and watch a ship disappearing over the horizon. Some of their explanations are hilarious.
The problem is the internet. There will be flat earthers who will show you 'evidence' this isn't true by bringing up a YT video showing that 'zooming it back in' shows its not over a horizon. The problem is that the 'evidence' or test has no controls, no peer review and is often badly and/or incorrectly executed but its confirming a belief so it must be true.coldel said:

Who guarded the edge of the earth in the olden days before NASA?
Why have we never seen any photos of these "guards"? Surely someone must have snapped one by now and are they positioned all around the edge or is there a fence?Someone mentioned SciManDan on youtube, who debunks a lot of these things, also "Professor Dave explains" is good. They both have numerous videos which can waste a few hours
