I have had my GT3 since October last year and although I love it I cant help but lust after the more subtle look of the touring model. I always wanted PDK so specifying a touring pack was never going to work for me.

The question is can I create my own PDK touring. If so who could in theory carry out the works (I have asked Porsche about retrofit but they said not available). I've read there are some differences with the under tray of the touring, also wondering if the wiring loom would be the same to enable the spoiler to function..

I know I am probably going to come in for a load of flak for even considering this, please go easy on me!

I imagine your biggest issue will be the wiring to activate the rear spoiler.

As far as I am aware there is no differences to the diffusers or underbody panels?

Also the cost of the rear lid with spoiler I imagine will be very expensive!!

I think Sharkwerks did a ducktail for the 991.1 GT3... could try them.

RPM did a ducktail for the 997.

Personally I'd wait and let someone else be the Guinea Pig...I am sure there will be plenty of people that want to do this in the US. It's probably a £10k job if someone's got to research it all for you!

I had a figure of 10k in my head!

I think it would be worth it to have a one off.. On the plus side it would always be reversible..

I'd try the likes of JZM and RPM, let us know how you get on! Maybe give your OPC's parts department a call and see what the external parts cost ? They should also be able to tell you if the front spolier/bumper is indeed different and if the diffuser is too.

I was thinking about buying a GT3.1 and making it into a PDK 'R', i to prefer the Touring look!
