Orienteering... Best pack the wellies!
Cancelled for all due to worsening conditions. Ironically it's about to stop. But that was a good 50 mins of torrential rain.

Much better in the south today (ie dry!). Lots of cloud cover as the warmer, more humid air arrives from the South.

The rain moves north, and brings the thunder warnings with it:

In general terms the high pressure to our NE is edging away eastwards, allowing more unstable air with lower pressure. This in turn brings more humidity, more cloud, more rain (often torrential showers). The high pressure might come back but in the meantime, it will be warmish, but less sunny.

Hmmm this:

Yes, playing with the radar shows it's pivoting around London area clockwise. Doesn't look good for you.

We need to dry out though!

I can live with it... need togged cooking done today.

Problem is not the rain so much, used to that, its the insects that come out to play after a bit of rain that clog up your teeth on a bike ride after.

Still, saves on taking food.

Perfect down here, 22°, bit of cloud about. This'd do all summer.

Somerset in to South Wales currently the best guess for the firing line tomorrow. I've seen a supercell on the Arome model.

Pathetic!

Puggit mate, you either commit to this thread or you can take a hike. Half-hearted posters like you make me despair about this place.

I know, or hope that's tongue in cheek but Italy has patchy internet in rural areas.

I posted last week from all sorts of places but not from my temporary home.

Weather was patchy too ,nice in the mornings and thunder storms most afternoons.

Well it rained pretty much all day here in south wales. My mate is at rockingham today and track day was called off due to fog where you couldn't see from one side of the track to the other while 100 miles north up in croft was blue sky all day from another mate that is racing up there.

A lovely day here in Brittany, despite the forecast predicting overcast all day it was sunshine all day on the coast.

It was saying we were in for some thunder (always fun in a tent), but seems to have changed now.
