I need to replace my mod.... it's old and battered and the LED's are now unreadable.

I am not an advanced sub-ohm vaper with a beanie... I vape at 12 watts, 1.8ohm and use 183650 batteries.

Any recommendations for a reliable single battery mod? Or should I replace my eleaf pico?
There is a new Pico out, if you liked the old one then it seems like a sensible choice

fk me, this stuff is painful... but I'm yet again going to try this vaping carry on. I don't get on with the thing I've got (Aspire Nautilus). Not enough vapour.

What's a mod?
WTF is squonking?
How long should coils last? i.e. when I buy a new thing should I buy coils too as they'll be fubared in a few days?

Basically I want a decent amount of vapour and to get off the fags. Couldn't care less about flavours and don't really want to be fannying about fiddling and changing things all the time. Oh, and one that doesn't leak would be great.

Is this any good? https://greyhaze.co.uk/collections/advanced-vape-k...

What's a mod? The mod is the battery element, what powers the tank. These can vary in power, size, battery capacity etc. There are some well known brands i.e. Aspire/Vaperesso/Smok - although I would not be able to tell you which of these is considered the best lately as I've had my own for a long time now.
WTF is squonking? Instead of a tank whereby you have the juice feeding into the coil constantly, squonking applies juice to the cotton/coil directly when squeezed. Think of it as similar to a "dripper" but with a tank attached.
How long should coils last? i.e. when I buy a new thing should I buy coils too as they'll be fubared in a few days? Coils last me c. 2 weeks. Various factors come into play with the lifetime of a coil including what wattage you're vaping at (the power of the mod in comparison to your coil), what type of liquid you're using (some liquids just ruin coils quickly due to the ingredients etc). I'd say about a week or two is the average.

https://greyhaze.co.uk/collections/advanced-vape-k... - I don't know anyone with this kit but believe from what I've read online that it's decent enough and will give you what you want.

Dependant on what Nautilus you have, this isn't really aimed towards those who want the vapour output. You are better off with a "sub ohm" aimed tank if this is whta you want, as it'll produce a st load of vapour - this isn't really my thing anymore so sure someone else will help out here!

Finally, I know you said that you don't care about flavours but I'd look a little more into this if I were you. I was an on and off vapour, mixing with fags, for a while until I found a flavour that I really enjoyed.

Surprised you don't like the Nautilus, it's what I use, 100% reliable, leak free and no fuss.

Like you I just wanted to get off the ciggies, that was 18 months ago, zero withdrawal.

I recently switched to an Eleaf IStick battery and to 0.7 coils from 1.8, used to get 5-7 days out of a coil now I get weeks, running fairly low wattage, 15 to 17 and low temp, 230f, I can go higher with both for more vapour but I just don't need it.

I think I might be talking ste, it's an Aspire something but doesn't look like the pic of a Nautilus.

I just tried it with the liquid which was in it (for some time) and it was rough as hell on the throat. I just cleaned it out and put in the LiQuid stuff I bought a while back and it's much better.

I'm gonna have another go before I waste money on something else. smile

Are you running a variable watt battery?

I think so, it's an iStick. You can change stuff on the side of it.

Ok, perfect, get yourself some 0.7 coils, fill the tank and let it sit upright for a minute or two then turn the temp down to about 250f and set the wattage between 17 and 20 (play around with it on different settings).

This is assuming you're running an Aspire Nautilus, if so you're using my exact setup and it's perfect - the battery lasts longer than a day and the juice (with 5ml tank) lasts two to three days.

As I said before it's completely fuss free, just get yourself organised with enough juice and coils, charge it overnight and you're good to go.

So my trusty Nautilus mini 2 has started to cause problems - the thread won't hold it in place so I am having to use PTFE tape to keep it in, but this isn't going to work forever.

Looking around at options, I can replace the base hardware for about £15 but that seems a lot for a metal disk, I can buy a whole tank for that.

Any recommendations for a replacement for a Nautilus mini?
You can get a metal replacement for the glass which includes the failed thread. £8 Amazon

Love my Nautilus. Also have a Mini Triton. Very similar but refilled from the Top and more air flow adjustment. Takes the same coils.

So my SMOK alien has finally died after nearly 2 years, It has a good run and survived a few drops and alot of paint has flaked off. Screen flickers and now appears completely dead. it lasted alot longer than others by what ive heard and the smok tank was terrible from day 1, leaks, burns coils out in days and uses far too much juice for little flavour.

Can anyone reccomend a 2x1650 mod. I liked the smok as it was fairly small and the fire button was one big trigger on one side rather a small button, Only downside was it was a bit weighty, Would like something a bit ligter this time around.

A lot of the weight will come from the batteries, do you need twin 18650? What wattage are you running at?

Most twins will be bigger and heavier

Small? See Pico discussion above, also by Eleaf, tiny mod, you'll need batteries as well though

Mainly around 50-60 watts, I have a kanger-tech single battery bod as a back up but it doesnt quite have the same power do it even at the same wattage and the single battery dies to quickly.

Have a look at a Tesla Wye 200w - lightest dual 18650 on the market and reputedly very strong too. They are circa £50 in the UK but you can order from Gearbest in China for £30 delivered and delivery is 5-10 working days https://www.gearbest.com/temperature-control-mods/...

Hi all, I’ve been away from here for ages, smoking again & feel like my chest is about to explode. I got fed up of having to buy coils, etc but I really need to dig out my kanger mods & start on them again. So which website is best atm? I’ll only be buying coils & juice as I have the worlds supply of tanks/mods.

Cheers!

I use ecigone.co.uk

I've tried a few online shops and they're very hit and miss. Ecigone have always delivered promptly, their website stock is accurate, and their prices are usually as low as anywhere else that's UK based. You can save a few quid by ordering stuff from China, but I don't have the patience to wait a fortnight in the hope I get something genuine just to save a couple of quid.
