I’ve been vaping for circa 30 months.

Had smoked for most of my life and typically 10-20 a day. Now 46 years old.

I’ve got a Voopoo Drag mod with the Aspire Cleito tank and 120 coils. I typically vape at 100 or 110 watts.

I’ve vaped a lot of different juices and now my tried and tested is Nasty Juice Asap Grape. It’s all I buy and I’ve been on 3mg nicotine from Day 1.

I’ve been thinking more recently it’s worth knocking this on the head too.

I need to try a juice that doesn't burn out my coils in 24 hours. How's the Grape? I assume it's not sweet?
It’s fruity rather than a sweet dessert style juice. Also has low menthol so for me it’s a perfect balance. It’s a 70/30 juice.

I typically vape up to a max of 6ml a day and my coils last me around 2-3 weeks, sometimes longer.

i'll give it a try. The 3 pack of Horizon coils costs £8 and I'm on 2 packs a week which is a bit annoying. Cheers

Edited to add, I have tried wicked Haze and Slow Blow-didnt like them (from addicted vape on eBay who are excellent vendors). I've ordered the grape-worth a try

Why not try a tank that allows you to make your own coils? They cost pennies that way and when you strip it down to change the cotton or coil you can take the opportunity to give everything a clean and keep it all fresh.

I might give it a go when I have the inclination. My office is laden with enough 'vape' paraphernalia as it is biggrin

ot really, believe it or not at 71kg I'm trying to put some on. smile
LOL! 14 liters of coke week didn't make you put weight on?

I was about your weight until I was in my 30's and then I slowly crept up to 85 kg over 15yrs. I have now evened out at about 80kg after cutting way down on alcohol and biscuits, saved a fortune too I guess!
To be fair I did lose a bit when I stopped the Coke a few years ago, but between that and muscle loss from arthritis I now need to put some back on. Well they say I should but I'm fine with 71. Not that many 41yo guys wearing belts from when they were 16 smile

It doesn't sound like an unhealthy weight!

Anyone taken their vape over to Dubai? Conflicting information saying no and one saying since feb 2019 it was allowable, but nothing concrete I can find.

It is allowed, just restricted as are cigarettes so don't vape inside any building. If in doubt call your airline or the Embassy. You can not buy liquid in Dubai but you can take it with you. I would not have it in my carry on.

I took mine over there December 2017, completely oblivious to the fact they were 'illegal' or whatever the official line is, went through the airport both ways fine, used it in private only, didn't have a problem.

I've been vaping for over 7 years now. Always an MTL vaper as I could never get on with sub ohming. If anyone is looking for a decent starter kit I can recommend the OBS cube MTL kit which has a rebuildable atomiser. It's a compact, simple to use device with great build quality.

The USB terminal lasted about 2 months for me before it became unuseable.

It does seem a little tight so I'll treat with care.

It's probably that the 510 connection isn't making a.. connection. Is the pin at the bottom of the hole on the mod adjustable with a screw? (Old school!!) or is the spring stuck? might just need a jab with a small screw driver.

alternately, the coils inside the subtank sometimes don't push the spring connector far enough down to make a connection either. This can be a new coil/old tank thing where they've made tiny adjustments over the last 4 years

I used to have lots of these problems with cloned items from China, must have bought 5 RDAs that never got any use due to the connections just not being accurately made. I learnt my lesson in the end.
It's a bit strange. If I put the Subtank on the Siegelei, it works perfectly.
If I put the Smok's tank on the Siegelei, it works too.
If I put the Subtank on the Smok pen...zip, zilch, zero. I don't understand.

I'll recommission my Kangertech CL2 tank when the new coils arrive.

I Have recently binned two different RTA's because i would get 'Low resistence' warnings and 'no atomiser found' when I tried to fire them. I made new coils and cleaned them and rewicked them and still got the messages and i could not see any reason for it so they just went straight in the bin.. Life is too short and i have other tanks that work just fine!

Just wondering, has there been any discussion on here about the short/long-term effects of vaping?

The fact its relatively new, there's no REAL certainty on the long-term effects of what vaping is doing to the body.
Having been vaping for about 3 weeks now, I can see the appeal, expecially for those that are able to give up smoking cigerettes with it, but it does worry me of what it is I'm taking into my lungs, and what the possible effects will be in the future.
Not good I'd bet.

Most on here are convinced it's as pure as the driven snow, but I'm absolutely certain that in time we'll find out it's harmful in one way or another. Not as bad as fags I'd guess, but still not advisable.
And so it begins...

“In many cases, patients have acknowledged recent use of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)-containing product," the CDC said, referring to the active compound present in cannabis.
The president of the American Vaping Association, Gregory Conley, said in a statement on Thursday that he was "confident" the illnesses were being caused by devices containing cannabis or other synthetic drugs, not nicotine.”

Sounds somewhat inconclusive? Also why is the patient not given an accurate age? Very odd.

Of course, it's got to start off that way. The vaping association guy blames something else, that's literally his job.

He's (deliberately) missing the point anyway. The question is about vaping, and he tries to make it about nicotine.

It's absolutely fking inevitable to me that one by one, study by study, vaping will be found to be harmful and governments will take steps to tax it and or reduce it's popularity. It'll take years and years but it'll happen.

It just seems odd a whole bunch of people in Illinois all come down with some type of illness around the same time.

Perhaps a dodgy batch of juice or something else, who knows.

I agree with you, there are inevitable side effects that we don’t yet know.
