I asked my vape enthusiast mate in November which brands were the best for high street disposable vapes and he recommended elf bar, crystal or lost mary. I am sure all that you'll buy in the shops except for maybe the minority of dodgy pop-up head shops and bottle shops will be very safe.

Maybe find out what flavour the person may be willing to try as for an older person who's used to smoking cigarettes, some of the flavours might be a bit of an assault. Some people really hate menthol flavours for example, or particularly sweet vapes.

Walk in, find out what brand they carry and then maybe have a look at your phone at what flavours that brand does as some of the names are a bit opaque!

I got an elf bar and it was annoyingly good. It was a one-off though- don't want to get into the habit of buying disposables for environmental reasons.

Finally, trying to change people who don't want to change is a mug's game, so if the person keeps finding reasons and excuses not to give it a go or to persist with it, try not to feel bad about simply giving up on it- you tried.

Thanks for the replies, all appreciated.

Admittedly a long shot but will take anything that helps even if its a reduction.

Re. disposable, I am seeing via the high-street brands called Smok, Elf, Aquavape, etc. are those OK brands?
I’m not a vaper. Ex smoker and have tried vaping but I got frustrated by all the faff and just decided to quit nicotine full stop. Elf bars seem ubiquitous and would probably be the easiest to buy as you see them discarded everywhere. Although they’ll probably be banned soon.

Good luck with your elderly relative. I had an elderly relative myself that was a heavy smoker. A lot of the rest of the family basically disowned her because she wouldn’t bend to their will and stop smoking. I kind of saw it as the one thing that made her happy so didn’t nag. She died aged eighty five of an unrelated issue, happily puffing away.

I like to keep updated with the technology because I do occasionally like to vape a different substance.

Not really answering your question but for long term vaping, personally I'd avoid Aspire like the plague. I had a number of leaky tanks and dodgy battery connections. I moved over to Innokin 18 months ago and haven't had a problem since.
The Aspire Nautilus Mini is the tank that was a major change to vaping for many people, including me and I had a few. But pretty much every tank I have used has leaked if they are not taken care of.

All quiet on the steamy front?
I am travelling to England at end of May and am interested in buying some 200mg/ml liquid,
is that still for sale in UK or is 72mg the max now ?
I want to buy and pay the stuff from Germany and pick it up at a friend´s address on your island.

I was out & about the other day and popped into a Vape shop as the Elf (600) I had had run out. I asked if they had something like the Vuse Go Max which is a 1500 puff disposable and they said they can't sell them as the limit instore is 600. Apparently.

However to get round this IVG have a 4 cartridge disposable which gives 2400 puffs and can be bought over the counter. So I did.

Either 4 of the same flavour or 4 alternates. They load into the same barrel and then just click it round to the desired flavour.

Price wise, it's the same as 2 single use disposables but with 4 times the life.

The device is a bit bigger but got used to it quick enough.

I've always bought 72mg. Wasn't aware you could buy higher, which would be good as it would dilute the flavour less. Google brings up some 100mg sellers. Used these before I think.

Think the 200mg stuff is foreign websites, not sure if they will ship to uk
