Better yet, why not take that minute to drive to somewhere where you wouldn’t be inconveniencing anyone? It’s a little bit of bird crap, for God’s sake, But the OP and his few supporters are acting as though it’s a Russian bio-weapon!!!
scratchchin ...but maybe it is? The Soviets trained dogs to run under tanks with mines strapped to them. How do we know for sure that the Novichok wasn't delivered by a Salisbury native carrier pigeon? Hmmm?

Best the OP takes no chances, really. Have the RN got any surplus Phalanx/Goalkeeper close in weapons systems that he could strap to the back of his Poorsche?

The main stupidity displayed by the OP is that he believed most PHers would be impressed by his actions.

Sadly, the joke's on you.

I've already stated what I think of the OP had you read the thread.

I showed my wife the initial post and asked her what she thought. The answer was “Christ, if I was the bloke’s poor wife, I would’ve been trying to crawl into the glovebox so that nobody saw me with him”.
And yet again you mention your long-suffering wife and add nothing constructive to this thread.

So to clarify, you'd rather let your wife, sit in st, in the sun, than temporarily park in the only available space (until someone, who if of sound mind would have sympathy/understanding for her predicament, actually requires it)?

I'll be blunt, I know no normal woman who'd ever want that and no real man who'd expect them to. Perhaps show your wife this post too, it might be the impetus she needs to escape your sycophantic clutches. Alternatively, grow the fk up, shoot your high horse and give your wife the respect she deserves. Your stance cannot be justified in this situation and you're a lesser man for not conceding your position here is untenable.

You really are quite priceless. I do hope we get to keep you!!

I know that my wife would much rather be left with a bit of bird poo on her head for a couple of minutes than have me pull into a disabled parking bay, and as she would’ve been the one with poo on her head, who am I to suggest otherwise?

In all seriousness, have you ever had a bird crap on your head? From the way you’re reacting, you seem to be equating it to someone picking up a few pounds of dog turds and vigorously massaging them into your scalp.

It’s a bit of bird poo. Taking a minute to find a legal place to stop the car isnt’ going to hurt anybody at all.

I'm registering a fake account up as we speak. Few months down the line will come in handy. Handy for being controversial without damaging my main account.
Thanks for the reminder

Had you read the entirety of this discussion you would realise I'm not the OP.

I've argued that in certain situations a little bit of compassion and understanding from us all will make everyone ultimately happier. If you have issue with that that's your problem.

This is progress but you need to say that to Mrs Kermit Power. smile

What if it's not a bit of bird poo but instead birdkake and there are no legal spaces anywhere - what then? Would you potentially consider it (again, without staying when someone needs the space)?

So, to be quite clear about this.............in the same circumstances you'd park in a disabled space ?. You feel that would be correct, proper, and appropriate - because.......???

Do you have an ounce of respect for people who are disabled or do you believe that you are more superior or more important than them ?

OP, you appear to have indicated you are 70 years old. It may be the case that accordingly your wife has a blue badge. If that was however the case I would have assumed that your response to the old lady would have been

"I am sorry madam but we have a blue badge, but we won't be long".

If you nor your wife have a blue badge, your correct response should have been "I am sorry madam, I am just cleaning bird poo from the head of my wife but will move as soon as I can, I do apologise".

What makes it worse is you even said in the OP IIRC that they go past on their walking sticks. So they must have been required to park further away because of you.

I should also not that both myself and my wife have had birds poo on us, kind of an occupational hazard with a TVR it seems... All you have to do is find a suitable place to stop and clean up.

Obviously a uncouth loudmouth judging that post content.

My wife would not be too pleased sitting with bird crap in her hair but she would sure as hell manage to prioritise what was most important, and put the needs of an elderly disabled couple before the removal of the bird crap that she had only just realised was there.

Some people are just indignant, selfish individuals though.

I dont have a Porsche, at the time when I could have justified a 911 there was the joke going around:

Whats the difference between a hedgehog and a Porsche?

With a hedgehog the pricks are on the outside.

With bird crap on your head or not, you dont want to park in a disabled spot as you do not really want your car and number plate photographed and shown in the press as justification for the above joke.

Not at all, obviously when they arrive you move. I don't see what's so hard for some of you to understand.
