A lesson learnt for an angry old lady

She had every right to be a bit narky, rocking up and seeing some tt parked in the only space she could park while he does his mrs' hair - of course no other possible space for him to park nearby, that's for sure....
Learn some manners.
No she didn't have that right, there is no "right to be a bit narky" and nor should there be.Learn some manners.

Seems like everyone (including those sympathetic to the OP) agree that he was a bit of a knob with his childish ‘retribution’ yet his fans are prepared to accept his word as to how the old lady behaved without having her version of events. Two sides to every story. One party has confessed to being a knob, the other hasn’t.

I think we can all agree that he DID find another space? He caused a couple of minutes inconvenience to a rude woman, big deal.Nik da Greek said:
Finding it unlikely the OP a) posts on here again and/or b) is truthful about the ultimate resting place of the wet wipes. But then, I was wrong about the fictitious nature of the fat Zafira owner too so what do I know?
a)b)
the used wet wipes were carefully placed at the bottom of the windscreen on the Kia

Took the Porsche out for a mini break the last couple of days - yesterday we travelled from Pocklington to Goathland (TV programme Heartbeat was set there) where we had lunch at the Mallyan Spout Hotel (spotted a blue roadster in the car park), on to Whitby, then down the coast road to Robin Hood's Bay, Scarborough and Filey.
Lovely weather so top down and just pulling into the car park at the bottom off Robin Hood's Bay when the wife discovered a Seagull incident ... the bird had unloaded on the top of my wife's head (she's blonde) and the dregs I discovered were on the back of the car ... only a disabled space left so I parked half i the bay leaving space for other cars to get round.
So there I am doing the hairdresser/cleaner job on wifey's head using wet wipes which I keep in the glove box when in comes a Kia Sorrento with an old couple in ... the lady immeadiately jumps out and gives me an earful of "Are you parking there ? - are you disabled ? cos we are and we have a blue badge".
I explain what has happened and ask for a couple of minutes to tidy the wife up before I move my car to allow them to park. So I eventually move the car and I continue with the clear up.
An American couple offer water for the final cleanup and a nice English guy comes over to see if he can help.
By this time I had a pile of used wet wipes piled up on the dash when old lady (with hubby), both with sticks, walks by and starts chastising me again, commenting that it's lucky to have a seagull poo on you and that I could have avoided the mess if I hadn't had the roof down. I sarcastically thanked her for her help and she went on her way down to the sea front.
I was just about to follow them to the car park waste bins when I had a brilliant idea before I continued my journey.
What do you think I did with the used wet wipes ?
Answers below please
I haven't read any other comments but I sincerely hope you put the wet wipes in a bin and apologised for parking in a bay that is essential to people less fortunate than you. If not you must be a very immature and arrogant idiot.Lovely weather so top down and just pulling into the car park at the bottom off Robin Hood's Bay when the wife discovered a Seagull incident ... the bird had unloaded on the top of my wife's head (she's blonde) and the dregs I discovered were on the back of the car ... only a disabled space left so I parked half i the bay leaving space for other cars to get round.

There are always 2 sides to every story. We dont know the details from either side. How rude was she? How long did they wait before approaching?
You admit you don't know all the details but place the entire blame on the OP. RATATTAK said:

What if I really need to do the shopping though. Like, there's no other spaces and I'm out of wet wipes?
What you're really saying is that it's acceptable under your conditions. You can park there for a bit if you feel you have a good enough excuse. You are not the arbiter of such thing though.
Wow, I bet you're one of those people who writes threatening notes to ambulance staff who dare park outside their homes? No doubt you're at your window now waiting for a minor parking infraction - it doesn't matter if it's a woman in labour, someone suffering seizure or a mother covered in child sick - in your mind there's a rule and, sod quality of life for all, you want it enforced. What you're really saying is that it's acceptable under your conditions. You can park there for a bit if you feel you have a good enough excuse. You are not the arbiter of such thing though.
Has a pop that he is the type of person write notes to ambulance drivers not to park there BUT appears to condone the similar action of blocking a space to ( say) an ambulance as it his divine right to attend to some bird st at the very instant
The Thread title sums up the OP doesnt it 'A lesson Learnt.....' =smug bd Grade 1 Fakenews aiming to achieve likewise status

What on earth did you just write? I'm guessing you're attacking me for stating that in certain situations we should, despite the 'rules', actually care and have consideration for others. If you disagree with that then you clearly have a problem.Has a pop that he is the type of person write notes to ambulance drivers not to park there BUT appears to condone the similar action of blocking a space to ( say) an ambulance as it his divine right to attend to some bird st at the very instant

So should anybody. He didn't need a disabled space so shouldn't have parked there under any circumstances. More an utter dick coming on here making childish comments.
Agree with you re his comments and his latter actions. Disagree re parking there if that was the only place to do so. Again, consideration for each other - he could have moved off when someone needed the space and everyone would have been happy.Nanook said:
You couldn't be more wrong. This is a standard trolling technique though, derail the thread with personal attacks.
By 'standard trolling technique' you mean you're starting to realise ignoring the plight of your fellow man/woman isn't what reasonable people do? I won't suggest you mature but you might find more happiness in life by helping others.RATATTAK said:
Most of foxy's posts are incoherent ... have a read through them if you have time ... very sad man
Perhaps, although do I need to read them as we're apparently one and the same? As for you, can I suggest not posting such experiences on here again - you could have handled this better and left the space immediately. The only thing you should have placed under their wiper was an envelope with money for a coffee/cake and a thank you for your understanding message. Hope the experience didn't ruin your partners day.
