I think the only thing I've done with internet explorer in the last few years is to download google chrome.

I see google glass got a mention already. Was going to say the same. These were all over the news a few years ago, I've not seen a pair yet.

Modems - quite miss the blip, beep, whistle.

Faxes are pretty much non-existent except for us and our customers.

And hotels too? Something to do with them being secure for sending personal details over, which email is not? That's the explanation I've been given before anyway

Perrier water. Ever since the benzene contamination scare the No.1 bottled water for the chattering classes suddenly became passé.

i use bing!

if you login with a windows / xbox ID, each search collects points that can be exchanged for XBOX gift cards. once you factor in phone searches, it soon adds up.
I remember hearing about this - how long have you taken part in this and how much have you got out of it?

Rum and raisin ice cream, seems to have been supplanted by salted caramel.

You'll be glad to know that Rum and Raisin is still alive and well in Devon

(they also do salted caramel, but I recommend the popcorn flavour)

Dasani
Dasani is massive in the USA and probably elsewhere, just in the UK we got a bit huffy when we realised it was just Peckham Spring.

Betamax
My Dad went down the Betamax route rather than VHS. Only reason we got a VHS player was because we complained as kids that the Video Rental Shop only had a handful of Betamax to rent.

Even then he still used the Betamax to record programs from the TV. It was bloody huge as well.

Yep. The tape was brilliant - you could send the same enquiry to many vendors without having to re-key it. That was the future right there.

Doesn't really work for TV where you need multiple viewpoints but, I have a curved monitor and it's brilliant.
