That's the thing with computers, absolutely invaluable when they're working properly, absolute fking nightmare when they're not!!!! The ones at work are connected to multiple servers, we have a server room on site, every now and again they "forget" where they are, how to find them and even that they actually exist!!!! grumpy

Dicky - Is there a fridge magnet distribution protocol or are they being issued automatically on the hour on a shift system rota basis using the TT trebuchet ?
The dead letter box isn't working since the loose brick was cemented in by council workmen. We had to come up with something revolutionary. Can you PM me your address, please? I'll do the rest.

I believe we're paying in negotiable bearer bonds, postal orders or Swiss francs, Dicky will then issue them on a "who paid the quickest and most" basis using a blind bidding ballot system, livestock will not be accepted as a form of payment!!!

My brother and I have a combined age of one hundred and thirty one. My mother refers to us as 'the boys.'

DickyC, likewise for me, shall I pm you my address?

Let me know about acceptable currency or barter options. Bear in mind that the “heavy lifting” side of things may cause me an issue just now. If you’ve got uneven ground, with a step of about 4cm, I could do a very good job of standing on that with my temporarily different length legs...

ION, “tea” and “toast” have been despatched here in short order for breakfast.

IOON, I’m going to be in until at least Monday. Meh. IV line is now working and IV antibiotics have been tweaked. I’ll be getting four lots a day while I’m in hospital, then back to once a day at home. Seems a bit of a faff, but either the community team have to come to me, or I have to get collected and go to my local hospital, for them to be administered. I wonder how long they could make the tube so they could be administered remotely...

Would part payment in Courgettes and other home grown vegetables be acceptable?

Please. I believe I did ask but your attention wanders for some reason. Plus sensible stuff gets lost in all the hilarity.

PM me your address and wondrous things will happen a TT 8th Anniversary fridge magnet will eventually appear.

Marvellous.

Chunky did it with hats one year. I still have mine.

pm sent DickyC

I’m disproportionately excited about (a) getting some interesting post and (b) being slightly more inducted into the wonderful world of TT.

That depends entirely on your home address being in "crows flight sight line" with the hospital, if there are any "bends" in the tube I suspect it may have to be delivered under pressure which may result in you blowing up like the Michelin man!!!!

That depends entirely on the courgette/Euro/Swiss franc/Rouble exchange rate on the day, today's exchange rate is 1.7764 courgettes to the Franc which in turn is .87754 Francs to the Euro and 1.00000932 Euros to the Rouble, so at today's rate it will cost you 3.99654 courgettes to purchase a TT fridge magnet and then there's P&P on top + VAT, so all in around a pound of carrots and a handful of runner beans!!!

Just to say I have given Dicky my address rather than the more usual coordinates.

This is for the obvious reason that the use of coordinates on this thread usually results in incoming artillery, bulldozers and general sundry demolition equipment.

More importantly, I did my best ever on Pop Master this morning - 21 with the first competitor's questions. I won't be ringing in to take part because with the second set of questions I got 9. This is more usual. Sometimes I go misère.

Oh, I assumed the Fridge Magnets were being delivered by a fleet of drones? I'd already prepared a landing site.

nono

Each recipient in turn simply has to put up a one hundred feet tall by sixty feet wide sheet of half inch mild steel plate in accordance with the timetable provided. As his plate goes up so I fling his magnet in his general direction from the top of the old water tower. When he hears the unmistable slap of magnet on steel he lowers his plate and retrieves his prize. What could be simpler?

Not me I'm crap at art!!!!

There may be a slight flaw in your chosen delivery system Dicky, as a consummate, highly regarded Aerospace Engineer I can't possibly be in possession of mere steel plate, would it be too much to ask if I can use a lesser grade stainless steel???

Fatboy: You must be the opposite polarity to be drawn in.

Otherwise you would be repelled!

We're desperate for magnetic qualities! IIRC stainless isn't magnetic.
