I see the not posting is going well Peri!!
I reckon you could be right GOG440, glenrobbo is probably going to need a good scrub with a brillo pad to get that stuff off!!! vomit
I know you can still get Brillo pads, but can you still get Vim/Ajax scouring powder in those paper canisters?
Good question, I shall task Mrs Bobbers with finding out tomorrow when she's shopping!!!

On the road, in the wild, I saw a Gordon Keeble today.

I heard the nerd in me say, "They made ninety nine of those."

Back home now, the bloody batteries are flat in the telly remote thing grumpy
Fortunately I have a good number of replacements so I'll see about changing them in a while.

Ninety nine? Coincidentally, Grandbomma had one during the week. I don't know if they're that common these days?

Not sure about Vim but I'm certain I've seen Ajax on a supermarket shelf recently. I'll have a proper look next time I go shopping, see what the container's made of.

Sorry to hear about the misalignment business Dibble, hopefully it can be sorted fairly quickly as you say and will be more comfortable in the long run.

Anyhow, the Indian's just arrived. I hope he's brought some food with him.

Mrs Bobbers has accepted the challenge and has declared she's going to visit several places just to find the answer!!!

No, still alive and well in Vol 30 Jim. He wants to know if you'd like one of his pilchards.

Cheers Bomma

It’s just one of those things. The consultant was really straightforward, no bullst, “I’m sorry, the pin is bent, we’re not sure why, it’s not anything you’ve done, this is down to me, I’m sorry we couldn’t see it earlier on the X-ray from theatre, but it’s a quick fix, I will sort it for you, your pain will instantly reduce and in the meantime, have lots more drugs!”.

I’m relieved that the current level of pain is down to the misalignment rather than this being how it’s going to be for the next three months plus. That would have been much less bearable. I know it’s still going to hurt a bit, but getting down five stairs and into the GF’s car this morning took me about 20 minutes and had me in tears. The consultant giving it the full “mea culpa” has only increased my confidence in her. She was completely open about it, didn’t try to fudge or obfuscate and I’m certain she’ll sort it.

These things happen. She hasn’t been lazy or slack or not bothered. It’s surgery and it doesn’t always go to plan. It’s a slight delay but I’m still upright and I’m still breathing (I’m actually in bed lying down, that’s about the only place I can get anywhere near comfortable, but you get my drift).

GF continues to be a superstar and has just bobbed round on her way from getting pet food, to make me a brew and a sandwich.

Good stuff Dibble, bit of a setback but probably inevitable with such a complex business I suppose. At least the problem's been found and the fix should get everything back on track.

Incidentally, have you bought the Lego Rollercoaster thing yet? Just that Battert and the Brigadier are taking the tandem to Trivton Magna tomorrow, they could pick one up for you.
Mind, last time they went they spent the whole afternoon in the Padlock and Crowbar and the whole bloody ensemble ended up the canal on the return journey.

On second thoughts it might be best to order one from Amazon.

Can the title be changed, it's making my teeth itch. Otherwise the whole thread should make its way to the one for the speling police thread....

No Lego rollercoaster bought - not yet. I daren't show you how much Lego I already own. Current value is about £5,000... not all bought at list price, I’ve probabky only spent £4,000. Bargain.

Between that and watches, I’ve spunked some cash over the last couple of years. Fortunately, I’m not a fan of Rolex or the fancy stuff, generally a couple of hundred quid or less.

The big downside to the quadrupled pain relief is I really, really can’t have a beer. Probably no bad thing and it’s only for a few more days.

Having spent 12 weeks in hospital last summer, some of it fairly awful, I’m pretty pragmatic about it all now. Yes it’s a setback, but a small, fixable one and things are still heading generally in the right direction.

That's very strange. The spelling mistake in the title, I mean. Forced by circumstance to start the new volume on my almost out of battery phone in a dark car park in Chieveley Services I thought the safest thing for the title was copy and paste. When I left it the title was correct but all upper case. At some time during the last 24 hours it became lower case and includes a spelling mistake.

For students of the thread, other than the volume number, this is the first variation in the title since Volume 22.

I knew a fella called Tel, owned a scrapyard in Norfolk he did.

Don't know about the Ego chap though. Tel had a mate who worked with him, drove round on the crane thing most of the time. I think his name was Mick or Nick, something like that anyhow.

It's certainly a fine looking specimen fatboy.

The place I mentioned earlier in the week where we saw the Alpacas, they have a resident Eagle Owl.

Good size thing it is, stands about two feet high. I noticed it was staring at me, bit unnerving really paperbag
