Today is getting up to the 35th litre of barn paint, more roof repairs and a bit more of my favourite - steel cladding.
Today’s PIA is having to join the trail of DIYers going to B&Q for some festering little strips of timber to make good the reveals of some new windows on the house.
Today’s proper fun is getting the Vixen heater ‘hole’ finished and hopefully meeting up with a local chap who needs a few bits for his rebuild and we can talk ste for a while.

I perturbed that Dicky hasn’t realised that the Ritz instruction plate only says ascending. Presumably there’s a room at the top with a lot of people in, some well decayed by now.

Don't be crackers, Pushfit, nono it's not the Ritz. Dicky's Mum took the family to the Saveloy.

I quite see your point about the coming down problem. Perhaps there's a gravity-assisted method?

Good luck with your 35 litre barn conversion.
What size engine did it have originally?

And good luck with the Sunday B&Q crowds. I usually go on a Wednesday when I get 10% discount with my Diamond Geezer Card. smile

Will the Vixen be ready for Friday? beer

One of them looks a bit familiar. The other looks a bit more reserved*

* But I wouldn't pull his thumb. Not in a lift, anyway.

Morning chaps wavey
Just watched that clip cherryowen, very nice, what's the guitar you're using in it?

I'm amazed at how your TVR coped with the snow glenrobbo, the last time we had snow I got up out of Hamble ok despite coming across several stranded cars, it was when I got up to the Windhover roundabout I hit problems, the police had shut the roundabout due to two tankers being stuck on it which left me with the A27 which at that point it's just a series of steep hills, I made it up the first one to be greeted by cars randomly scattered all down the next one, so thought sod it and went home again!!!
There's no need for me to have a V6 4x4 estate it's just something I fancy having!!!

Loving the lift pics Dicky, I'd MUCH rather be in a lift like that than the modern boxes we have now!!!!

It's a bit grey here.
I have a thing this afternoon.
I'll still go.
As long as there isn't horizontal rain.

Still no moose socks.

Ah yes the Savoy, I’m a casualty of using the phone to reply and then losing off the screen the text of what I’m replying to.
....that and a short attention sp

It's absolutely honked it down all morning here. I picked Grandbomma up and we went to the clay pigeon thing, unfortunately the skeet launcher broke (no, I didn't shoot it - I don't cheat that much!}

Anyhow, back home now with a nice bit of roast pork, Grandomma and the old dog. We've got the wood burner on, bloody lovely it is.

It's still pouring down but I really couldn't give a Tinker's cuss now. Would anyone like a bit of crackling?

Weather not looking good.
I went out on foot.
It was dry.
And then it wasn't dry.
I got wet.
I don't want to get wet again.
Decision time at 1pm.

A little better.

Arrived at QA to see MIL and she's sat dressed with her bags ready, apparently they've told her once she can pass water they're sending her home today...........the useless bunch if halfwits were told on Friday that she couldn't go home until the carers are back in place which won't be until Wednesday!!!! rage

The holes are quite small.
That's why rain is thin."
