Indeed Bobbers. Land's End to John O'Groats should be on the cards, though I'm not sure if either has a landing strip which could comprehensively bugger up an otherwise good day out.

Biggin Hill to Le Mans Arnage is about a half load of fuel so that's doable.

Incidentally, we know Fatboy's over at Le Mans but did anyone know that Pushfit's there too? Kept that one quiet, crafty old bugger.

If anyone's interested it's on Eurosport 1, CH 523 on Virgin. I expect it's available on other service providers too.

This was a TT Information Service message broadcasted from the kitchen of Bomma HQ. Other updates to follow, wait out. End.

You know how King's Bishop is a particular chess piece? It turns out Bishop's Stortford isn't a torch carrying, pitchfork wielding chess piece subservient to the Bishop in the 144 square 12x12 grid Imperial Chess Set bequeathed to the regulars in the Bar at the Towers by the 83rd Earl. It's a town in Hertfordshire. I should pay more attention.

Here's one earlier:

I believe King's Bishop was also a racehorse of some description? Might be wrong though, could be Red Rum I'm thinking of.

Would anyone like some Pringles? I've got a good selection in for the race.

That King's Bishop would make an excellent Pringle display stand, Bomma. smile

And I think you'd be more likely to be thinking of white rum. ( That's if the Absinthe supply is running low. )

Pushfit at Le Mans? I hope he sends us updates on the important stuff:
We need to know who has the tallest empty bottle pyramid and longest/highest wall of empty cans. wink

ETA: Or the more artistic stuff:

Volume 30???

I think I have missed quite a bit. I miss the old days when I had an easy job and could actually spend time here.

It's too nice for me. Not a mark on it and only 31k miles. Full Mazda history. Fully specced with the climate control and Bose 6 disc in dash changer. 2.0, 6 speed, LSD, lowered on bilsteins, dipped and polished wheels...Complete garage queen of a car. Love the colour combo too, galaxy grey metallic with tan leather...

And now it gets to sit outside my 1 bed flat, instead of in a garage yikes

Pushfit did mention his LM trip ,so that's at least 3 of this parish present with GOG braving a trip avec V8 wedge shaped Trevor.

Start was a bit scrappy, very experienced driver tried to win it after 24 seconds, forgetting that you cannot win it on the first lapbut you can lose it.

Andre Lotterer named n shamed.

Back to sleep.

Afternoon chaps.

Sorry I’ve not been in for a few days (doubt anyone noticed - harrumph).

Had a slight “fall” on Monday, meaning one of the surgical wounds opened up. Combined with the anticoagulants, it didn’t really stop bleeding until Thursday, when they packed the “hole” while I was in for physio (apparently the technical term for a hole is “sinus”). No infection thankfully but a very bumpy ride home in a transport ambulance. Early start again yesterday to see the consultant and have extra x-rays just to make sure I’d not done any real damage and the good news is I haven’t. All the pins are where they are meant to be and nothing was broken.

The even better news was that I got to play with my surgical grade Allen key and start turning the screws to lengthen/grow my femur. The consultant wants to take it steady to start with, so we are just doing a quarter turn of each screw in the morning and a quarter turn in the evening. I’m “unscrewing” the top screw and “screwing up” the bottom screw, so the bit in the middle will move downwards, towards my knee. Each quarter turn translates to 0.25mm of lateral movement so I’m “growing” new femur at 1/2 a millimetre a day to start with. After a week or two, it will get increased to a quarter turn four times a day, so a millimetre of lengthening/growth.

Two trips to hospital on consecutive days absolutely laid me flat. Lovely GF continues to be a superstar and messaged me earlier to ask if I wanted her to come round to mine via the chippy. Proof right there that she’s an absolute keeper.

I did notice Dibble but never mentioned it as in your position I guessed that there always might be complications meaning inability to be trivial.

Have the comfy chair ,I'll bring over the bar snacks........hurl

I’ve refrained posting any pictures or video of the adjustment, in an attempt not to put you off your dinner!

Chunks, nice motor.
