Going to have a nosey for a portable power pack. Anker seems the way to go with about 25% off. Unless you geniuses know different of course! hehe

And some on here doubted the returns procedure, before you know it, 2 additional sales!

There's a method to the madness.
Never had a problem with Amazon returns. Very efficient.

I am trying to sign up for the 4 months of Amazon Music for 99p but the link takes me to a page with the full price subscription - has anyone else managed to sign up for the deal?

Indeed, but it still seems like a lot of hassle for Amazon though. In Nanook's case, they have had to pick and pack a second item, send it out, pay for the return courier and then process it back into the warehouse instead of just crediting him the £80 which he has ended up getting anyway. I realise that it is small change for Amazon, but if they are doing this thousands of times it must add up.
They aren't processing it back into the warehouse though, that's the thing. You have to pay to return things on Amazon most of the time, and yet the van that collects it is doing so as part of its regular run of deliveries, and the methods to return to Amazon are either via Amazon locker (which the driver is going to anyway) or from one of those ParcelPlus type places at your local newsagent. Once he's picked it up, its not processed back into the system, I mean, it might be, as in, someone checks that it is the same item they've refunded in the box when they open it, but it won't be going on sale for anyone as a new item online again, it'll just be in a container of stuff that'll get re-sold by someone else.

I've bought a 1l bottle of Kraken rum, a Philips OneBlade just over £60 with £15 off for students. I am tempted by a robo hoover mind, they do look cool.

They had an offer earlier - buy £80 of Amazon vouchers and get £10 free. Should have done this at the time.

Seems to be. My entire house was 'hoovered' yesterday by this thing, and it's done a decent job.

Actually, getting into the corners and along the edges, and under the couches, it's done a better job than I ever have.
I’ve got a 10mm high step between two rooms, do you think it would get over that. Actually, It’s more of a ramp.

Perhaps before you return yours, you can do some tests for us potential buyers. hehe

Depends what you want to spend, but this bad boy looks interesting as you can plug in laptops etc using the regular power adapters!

Apologies for the German link (I use google chrome and it translates for me), I'm based in Austria so our local Amazon is the German one... Probably cheaper for you anyway buying there in Euros while you can wink

I have to pay for the return courier. So that's £3.99 out of my £80 I'm not getting back.
Also surprised at this, here in Austria I never pay for returns either, I just print the prepaid return label and hand it over to the post, I thought this was one of the prime benefits also?

I guess it depends on how you do the return. When I have phoned them and they have generated a label and emailed it to me, it has always been free. If you go through the online returns process, it depends on what reason for return you choose - performance not adequate, damaged or faulty means that they pay but a lot of the other reasons mean that the customer has to pay.

Not if you claim it’s faulty!

I'll need to double check, but I think it depends on your reason for returning it. If it was faulty, obviously I wouldn't be landed with that expense.

I'm tempted to e-mail them back again and tell them I've sold another half a dozen of their robovacs!
I have never been charged here for returning anything and I usually dont give a reason, but again im in Austria so perhaps they do it differently here for some reason? Would have assumed not though...

Was just looking at the options on the German site for the robot vacuums (Im actually looking for a dyson stick one but was curious...)

This seems to get good reviews and only 87 euros!

https://www.amazon.de/Dirt-Devil-M612-Spider-Saugr...

Full list of available ones in prime sale:

https://www.amazon.de/s/browse/ref=gbph_tit_m-5_b6...

Perhaps someone can make some additional savings from the Euro to Pound conversions, delivery cant be that much assuming prime doesn't work.

You have to pick a reason when you tell them you want to return the item.

I told them the reason I was returning it was that I could get it cheaper elsewhere (that was one of the options) and then in comments box I explained I was just going to re-purchase from them, and they've charged me £3.99 for postage.
laugh

They must be trying to recoup some of their lost first sale... wink

Last thing I returned I chose the option "No reason given" or similar and wasn't charged, it was a prime item so maybe this is why? Was yours prime delivered?
I tend to try to only order prime items to get full use of the subscription and its quicker and usually the cheapest option anyway.
