I bookmarked a LG 65NANO866NA TV at £679 and went off to check reviews to make sure it was the right one for me. Returned 30 minutes later and it was £899.
I got what I thought was a good deal (£998 from Costco) for a slightly smaller LG OLED48CX5LC for the bedroom. Everywhere else seemed to be £1100+.

Yes, I could have got the BX model in 55" for about the same price, but it was a bit big for the space I have, and a lower-end model.

This thread made me get the Galaxy Buds headphones, not sure I need them as I have multiple other headphones, but when they're ultimately only £40, hard to say no!

Only other purchases were a wireless charging mat and plug for it, and a toilet brush, rock and roll lifestyle!

Mine's noisy when picked up - I was hoping to use it as a music player (my main PC is a gaming one with lots of fans). The problem is that the ACEPC one isn't so much the volume but the frequency which is a bit whiny... I might ask on their support forum or stick something on Amazon and see if they respond. Perhaps even a dab of decent thermal paste will help, most manufacturers tend to put cheap stuff on there and there's no way this wasn't built down to a price.

The other consideration is that perhaps when all it's doing is playing music it shouldn't be hammering the CPU too much although the thing does seem to run quite warm by default - probably due to the type of processor.
There is a long thread on the ACEPC about fan noise here: https://www.iacepc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&am...

Someone said the Noctua NF-A4x10 5V Fan is the one to get. For £14 it might be worth a go. Not sure how easy it is to swap out the old one

annoying how many things showed on the search as one price, then when add to basket it’s another.
And it is not the time running out, go back, search again, same thing.

Had it with the Amazon echo buds, worth a try at 49.99, but came up 119.99, and the ring twin spot cam, 119 per deal, but came up at 178.
Annoying.

I had that, but then the discount was applied at checkout.

Yes, quite easy to miss that the price in the basket and at checkout can be different - feels like they’ve changed how that works

Found the TV I've been after for a while. The Samsung UE43ES9000 for £499a great telly for the Xbox series X in the spare room. So got richer sounds to price match and beat it by a tenner because I'd rather give richer sounds the money than Amazon.

If screwfix would have had the 60 quid scarifier in stock, I wouldn't have spent 130 quid on a bosch verticutter scarifier 1100w lawn killing machine from amazon...

Should have been 200 quid tho, apparently... Coming on sat, maybe left it a tiny bit late to scarify and overseed but hey ho, just means I need to be on top of my watering game over the next few weeks!

Absolutely nothing. I have failed at buying st i don't need and ALSO buying st that I want. What has happened to me. Is this what "Growing old" feels like?

Home automation interests me but I'm paranoid about things listening to me.

And yes, I know that it's already too late as I have at least one iPhone and iPad right next to me. I'm fairly sure my Occulus VR thing is listening as well now that Zuckerberg is owning it all
I'm also paranoid about these listening devices so only got one in the house in the kitchen where the other half spends most of the time just talking st but I'm also now paranoid they are tracking my every move now I've been jabbed.

The grass box is tiny on them, you’ll be forever emptying it.

Does the lawn some good though, paid less than £100 for mine on Amazon & sold it 4yrs later for more or less the same!

First thing I did with the scarifier I have is binned the grass box, and wedged the "door" open.

They generate so much trash to pick up that the grassbox is a waste of time, you'll be emptying it every couple of minutes.

Got my Galaxy buds and just filled in the Samsung cash back claim form. They wanted a screenshot of the receipt (Amazon email) and a photo of the serial number sticker on the box. Now I wait and hope I filled it in properly (there are 5 serial numbers on the sticker, I hope I typed in the right one). I've had a go of them and they stay in pretty well and sound fine so far.

Just had a read of that thread, many thanks. Have taken a punt on the Noctua and bought some decent thermal paste too. Had a look inside it tonight, it's pretty straightforward to swap provided the Noctua fits.

The "trash" is kind of the point though. I do one pass and have to empty my scarifier's collector, but that is its job.

I'm lucky in that the both the front and back gardens are relatively small, so I reckon I should be OK with a small collector, it's only 20 paces to the garden bin too!

South facing back garden is great, but a north facing perma-shaded front means moss grows for fun...

Got 4 GU10 philips hue (colour) spotlights + remote on amazon warehouse for a good price. Last set of 2 I got were sealed brand new with a couple of scratches on the box.

I bought a Gen 4 Echo Dot (without clock) with a smart plug bundle for £30.

Although not part of Prime Day, I also bought a wall mount for my Gen 2 Dot so I can have it plugged into my hallway plug socket to control the hallway light as I enter.
