It's the incitement of the far right frothers that makes this issue worse, it's exactly what the terrorists want to happen. Disruption, divide, anger, aggression and martyrdom. Let's not give them what they want.

I think the terrorists want to kill infidels, and probably don't really care about a few far right frothers getting angry that people are being stabbed. It's the incitement of the far right frothers that makes this issue worse, it's exactly what the terrorists want to happen. “They said that the suspect was identified as a 34-year-old German citizen who lives in Luebeck. His name wasn't released, in line with German privacy rules.
"There are no indications that the man was politically radicalized," the statement added. "There are also no indications at present of a terrorist background."”

Woah.... hang on a second! Can you not let the bandwagon get up to speed before sticking a spoke through the wheels?"There are no indications that the man was politically radicalized," the statement added. "There are also no indications at present of a terrorist background."”

We are ok - still rolling along.
You aren’t making the assumption that to be a “German national” you need to be blonde with blue eyes are you ?
I think they are. You aren’t making the assumption that to be a “German national” you need to be blonde with blue eyes are you ?
So you can read the story reported as 'mentally ill German national attacks people on bus' or as 'Kurdish Iranian political refugee attacks people on bus' depending on how you want to spin it. Both are true but colour it different ways.
Other details (things that may be shouted, suggestions of smoking backpacks) may be included (or not) depending on how the story wants to lean.
It's bit like assuming a 'Dutch national' is something other than 'Somali refugee with asylum', or the catch all 'British' in other stories. Versions of the truth to suit the audience and the writer.

At what point do you think an immigrant or a son/grandson of an immigrant becomes a true Swede, Brit, German etc then? Do you feel the same about the England football team and players like Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford etc? What about the cricket team and players like Moeen Ali?This whole a dog born in a stable doesn't make it a horse argument is the kind of stuff we used to hear from people like Nick Griffin years ago.
