That's a British thing and comes from the British culture which is lacking personal responsibility. The British society, re-enforced by the government encourages a culture to accept that somebody else will take care of it for you. Whether majority black, brown or white. If you walk into a council block , the elevators will smell off pee. Whether you accept it or not, it was like that way before the immigrants showed up,
This stinks like some of that dog st that you had to tip-toe around as a kid.It most certainly is not a "British thing" to leave ste at your arse. It's an upbringing and social responsibility thing.
And that goes from upper class to working or lower or whatever it's called.
trust me, white households are way filthy than any Black or Asian household by a long way. The latter households are always far more welcoming too.
I also think that it helps that traditionally Asian households don't have pets and especially dogs. I don't care how clean you think you are with a cat or a dog, your house stinks and is filthy with it. maybe you can't see it, but it is. and so is your car.

I'm not sure what you mean by leaving st at your ar$e? I didn't suggest that, but I do appreciate how how you went through 6 pages of posts suggesting that immigrants from a particular religion reduce the respectability of a neighborhood yet you find this offensive . It is what it is.It most certainly is not a "British thing" to leave ste at your arse. It's an upbringing and social responsibility thing.

If you (or the OP) find this reality to be offensive, there is something that you can do, like setting up a home owners associations to restrict the type of changes that can be made to properties in your neighborhood, or lobby your council to put leash laws in place so that dogs aren't running around parks.
Or you can moan about it here and blame it on the other.

I have noticed wealthy indian families dont put a lot of truck in gardens. Perhaps a cultural thing.
I can only go by my experience of one wealthy Asian family. They wanted to make so many alterations to their home that the council knocked most of the plans back on the grounds of them being out of character with the area.I know one of the British-born and bred sons quite well. He described his folks as being "Asian clichés" an explained that his Dad saw their home as a massive status symbol and his aim was to make it look like the posh "compounds" he admired as a lad in the old country.
Their house, near me is immaculately kept but with a brace of black Mercs behind iron gates it does have the air of a consulate building.
What greenery there is comprises palm plants.
It's quite impressive actually.
His folks are dead now, but he used to find their idea of posh quite amusing.
So, based on my not very exhaustive experience, there could be something cultural and class based in not having trees and greenery.
On a different note when I was delivering and installing white goods and large electronics I never came across a non British hoarder. Are white British people the only people that obsessively collect newspapers, puzzles and old VHS tapes?
I also only ever had white people trying to blag installation/disposal services for free, and then getting arsey if I wouldn't do something for free for them. Are White people the only people who want something for nothing and throw all their toys out the pram when they don't get what they want?
The answer of course is no. Perhaps more likely The Baader Meinhoff Phenomenon in effect. Personally I've not noticed a correlation between extended driveways or paving with Muslim householders. What I have noticed though it the amount of people putting AstroTurf down, which seems a bit of a White slightly council thing to do.

Lots, we still have gardens, trees, flowers and wild life where I live. You asked a question, implying that the lack of asian gardeners may be linked to something "cultural". But it was a silly question primarily because of
the small sample size but also because it demonstrates that other cultures are also under-represented.
It's like asking "I've never seen an asian window cleaner - is this cultural?"
ETA The reason I'm feeling mellow is because my youngest got her GCSE results. They're pretty good. Is this cultural?

I used to live in a suburb of Dewsbury and the suburb adjacent to that increasingly became populated by Muslim’s of (mainly) Pakistani origin (official census at 98.8% in 2016). As the population increased, gardens were taken out and either paved or concreted over and not just to park cars as back gardens went the same way. So much so that there is very little natural greenery there now – since then another suburb of Dewsbury in a slightly different direction has gone exactly the same way with the same demographic moving into that particular area.
Also, I have been to 2 parts of Pakistan (relatively close to each other), and there was a striking similarity in the amount of concrete etc around dwellings – but with more dust and squalor.

I think its they just don't like greenery or having to maintain it. I had a neighbour who paved over his whole back garden and it was a largish garden so must of cost him close to 15k-20k to do it, the fact that he was happy to pay 15-20k to pave over rather than use the £ for a gardener for 15-20 years led me to that conclusion.

You got 15 quotes?
Yes, I wanted someone I felt I could trust etc as would need side gate key and would be coming and going when no one there, I ended up going with the one I thought was most trust worthy only for him to stop turning up after a year. Were I live most people need a gardener as plots are big so there is a lot of choice, sounds a bit middle class I know but would rather spend £80 a month on a gardener and save myself hrs of work than spend more than that on Sky TV I never watch.
