Quite interesting getting the tracking done at Kwik-Fit. I done it myself just by eye before taking it down. They put the gauges on the wheels and started adjusting it, that was after head, ahem, mechanic told the 14 year old working on my car which way to turn the tie rods!! Lol.
Then once they done it he took the car out 'three' times to get the steering wheel straight?? Basically he would come back with car, blindly freehand guess with the tie rods then back out again to test?
Indicators don't cancel when overtaking on a bolt straight road?? What a bunch! Also, and this was really strange, a seemingly 12 year old pubescent type then proceeded to open my boot and take several pics with his ipad?? Wtf was that all about?

Nothing but praise for them from me on this occasion.

I put new rear wishbones, springs and 'toe' adjustment eccentric bolts on our car.

I test drove it around the block and it was er? interesting to say the least, the rear toe being miles out made it feel like just the back end was driving on ice.

Booked it in for the Sunday and they set it up perfectly, had a good chat with the fitter about the 'joys' of working on cars, he congratulated me on a job well done and their fancy expensive machine meant the steering wheel was straight first time.

Conversely I once fitted new track rod ends, took to Kwikfit and they aligned it fine.

Memorising the best way to get out after you lock him in there no doubt.

Its not about the kit but the user.

I have taken the same car to the same place.

Once absolutely spot on first time.

Another time fking clueless and took 3 times to get it anywhere near.
