Some white stuff on the grass, looks like a very tiny dusting overnight in MK. Bitterly cold though, I cycled in, even my thighs are frozen. Some puddles had some ice on top, tiny bit.

Clear blue skies. Suspect cycle home is going to be brass monkeys

Clear blue skies in Lancashire.

Was cold when I collected the milk and eggs this morning and the dog's not moved from the bed yet.

Not sure what the second half of that sentence means, so read into it what you will.

Trying to remain grounded and not ramp, but.... there are charts out there showing brutal cold and exceptionally snowy conditions for the end of Jan.

Nothing certain yet - high probability, but some nuances with some charts (minority of them) would lead to less severe conditions.

Not getting any of the downgrades at the moment, just up, up, up...

Too far out to call individual areas - but no one should fear lack of snow from what is currently showing.

Here on Isle of Wight we'll get 1 flake!

Just looked at your profile to see where you are, laughing at the Giraffe Madness! Wanting to call your son Melman is nothing compared to some of the boys names I wanted. Not least of all Pastuzo (Paddington Bear's uncle).

Yep, was snowing at 7am in MK this morning, a light dusting on cars and shed roofs.

Still bright sunshine now and bitterly cold
