Naming the only two double land locked countries crops up quite frequently as well.
What do you mean by ‘double land locked’? Is that surrounded by a single country? If so I’d guess at Lesotho and Vatican City? Or San Marino? Hang on, that’s three, unless they’re not all classed as countries, or that wasn’t the question in the first place.
I'm guessing it's land-locked countries, whose neighbours are also land-locked. I've been able to find one on a map, but had to Google for the other.

And in my research I found this - name the only triple land-locked US state?

Where was the first battle of the first (1642) English civil war?

Siege of Hull in April 1642, most people incorrectly believe this was Edgehill in October.

There are two a cappella UK No.1 hit singles.
Name them both.

Only ever met one person that could.
.
Only You by The Flying Pickets, is one. Possibly the Telly Savalas one too from the early 1970s?
Only You is the one I thought of, is the other one "Caravan of Love" by the House Martins? Not sure if that got to number one.

I used to run pub quiz at a local pub when I was at uni (not a student pub), and the round people enjoyed the most was my cryptic round. I'm going to see if I can find an old USB drive later which has my dissertation on it but, more importantly, every quiz I ever put together biggrin

Flying Pickets "Only You" and Housemartins "Caravan of Love"

Some people say Bobby McFerrin "Don't worry be happy" but that only got to number 2 here, it was number 1 on the Billboard chart.

You're welcome. #DJ48K

I had always thought a movie round using the description given in one of the Sunday paper tv supplements was a great idea.

The man of steel fights off baddies. 1978
Or words to that effect

Man of steel - superman.

Colin Powell first, then Condoleeza Rice were G. Dubya’s Secretary’s of State, I think, or Secretaries.

Nebraska was my guess. I just looked at a map, and can’t see any that are, unless you include parts of Canada?

Just looked this up, as said Nebraska is triple locked, about half a dozen others are double locked - more if you don’t include the Great Lakes as a water boundary.
