Anyone got an Echo or Echo Plus to compare with?

In the German Amazon the Echo is 60 euro and Echo Plus is double at 120 euro, is it really worth double the price? Is sound quality much better?

I have the first gen dot only and quite fancy one with a better sound quality for radio and music streaming.
Use Amazon Prime Now. I've just had (30 mins ago) an Echo delivered for 45 quid (ordered it 3 hours ago, amazing). Use 'primenow10' discount code. Has to be Prime Now, not normal Amazon.

Thanks but doesn't seem to work here, I have to use the German site and no option for Prime Now that I can see, the discount code just says its invalid. bds...

This thread just reminded me to order a Weber BBQ I saw last week for £199 reduced from £269.

Black Friday Special...£242.10.

I made the mistake of being out in London last year without realising it was Black Friday. I could barely move and I was utterly amazed that people were desperate to buy any old rubbish as long as it had a 20% off sticker on it.

Personally there is nothing I actually want or need so I will be saving the most money by not buying anything at all.

I'm looking for a Eufy Robovac 11c, a robot vacuum.

I got one a few months back on 'prime day' for £180, but amazon now want £260 for one, and my mother would quite like one so I'm gonna get her one for Christmas.

Not for £260 I'm not though!
That's the whole way Amazon works, they raise all the prices before a sale back to RRP, them when the sale starts and they reduce it to £180 they can claim your getting a massive £80 saving in the sale.

Whereas in reality most of the year they are on sale for 200-210*
Indeed. Always check camelcamelcamel. Set an alert for you preferred price and it will let you know when it hits it.

What a bloody brilliant website, thanks.

The Hive thermometer I got today (with installation and an Echo Dot) is the cheapest it's ever been at £148.99 so that's good to know smile
I've tried camelcamelcamel and on a number of occasions found the price they're tracking to be significantly different to what Amazon itself has. So I stopped using it.

Ditto.

The premise is good but the implementation is a bit off.

I kept getting emails for an item I wanted (Racing Simulator gearstick) whose price fluctuated massively. I went instantly to look but it was never at the price stated so eventually gave up.

So not sure you can trust the data, although I'm sure it does highlight the Black Friday manipulation going on for many items.

Xbox One X + Forza bundle is now £369 on Amazon. Is this a good deal or do we think there will be better?

It's not bad at all for something that a third party has put together, not Amazon themselves! I imagine that Amazon's API limits the number of times per day they can query something's price, so it is never going to be able to keep up with something changing price frequently.

Anyone flipping out this year over cheap TV's? The morning news didn't feature much apart from people queing for an Amazon store in London and people queing for two days outside Aldi for some plush Carrot!

Logged in to the pc hoping to impulsively get something I didn't need but there's nothing of note apart from a huawei p20 lite for £170, was tempted but it's not much of an upgrade over my year old smart phone.

If you have an ee mobile and take our their home broadband they boost your mobile data by 20gig a month.

Not entirely sure what i'm going to do with 27gig a month data allowance but I guess it's nice to have! (No prizes for anyone suggesting porn..)

Anyone seen any decent deals on a handheld vacuum?

The sort that hangs on a bracket on the wall. Not necessarily a Dyson, But if there is a deal on Dysons...

Use Chrome and the following extensions:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/the-came...

then you dont need to go to Camelcamelcamel
