There are quite a few World War 2 fighter pilots still surviving. "The Few" just relates to the relatively small number of pilots who fought in Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain period - which ran from end of June 1940 to early October 1940 (there's no real hard and fast dates for when the battle began and ended).

Gutted to hear that news today, I actually had a ticket to their concert in Dubai about 5 years ago but a fault with the plane led to me being diverted to Vienna and missing it... guess I'll never get the chance now :-(
