Aaawwwww he's cute!!!! Can I have him as my jousting steed???
You may, but no tilting dishonourably, please. Don't use being low down to your unfair advantage and spear your opponent in the leg or any of that ungentlemanly nonsense.
grumpy HUH!!! You're no fun anymore!!!!

Ah, now, you see, that's where you're wrong. You and your noble steed will dash along with you wielding your lance leaving your opponent no option but to concentrate fully on your plucky approach. He will then come a cropper as his helmet fetches up against the drawbridge. You pass comfortably beneath, win game, set, match and the hand of the fair maiden.

No fun indeed! Go outside and have a steady word with yourself.

V6 is considering his position as left wing. Remind me who would be displaced if he asks to be played at right wing.

Bit late on parade on account of having to ferry Mrs.P5B about this morning, she had a cataract removed just before Christmas so yours truly is on chauffeur duty with regard to post-op check ups at a clinic in the middle of nowhere.

Off out to the garden now to cut down a tree, then it'll be time for a pot of :

And a spot of :

All go, isn't it?

I'll wager it's 6d per pot and no mistake, what. Better be, or someone will have to send a couple of the boys round in a black Zephyr for a word in the proprietor's shell like. Some of my relatives actually used to talk like this when I was growing up! My Grandad's mate Big John Cooney used to tool about West London in his P5B Coupe wearing a long brown fur coat puffing on endless fat cigars, he was like a living amalgam of a typical Grahame Greene character and every oyjrt film spiv you can imagine, writ large. They really don't make 'em like that anymore. Instead, there's a factory somewhere in Hampstead churning out foppish hipster clones. Ugh, kids today and all that.

Any sign of that Sopwith Bobbers...?

No sign yet Nij, I shall keep you all updated as I myself know!!!

I thought I'd continue my run of fantastic husbandly stuff by fixing the slightly dripping tap in the bathroom, so I stopped on the way home at B&Q and bought a selection of tap washers, once I'd actually managed to get the cassette bit out of the tap body it became apparent that my washers were next to bloody useless, you have to replace the WHOLE CASSETTE BIT now, the bds!!!! grumpy

I had snow Tuesday pm ,I'm on a slight hill so often get it before others locally ,although Box Hill is only a

few miles away and is much higher up.

I didn't watch the Danny Dire thing last night ,I decided to watch Pierce Brosnan Bond film The world is not enough.

I've watched all Bond films many times over ,except that one which after watching all the way through ,I decided I had never

done this before.

Have deffo seen the Thames boat chase opening many times but the later parts of the film were new to me.

Sophie Marceau ,Denise Richards.....angelspermcloud9

Bond. I have Bond trivia. The silver Goldfinger DB5 appeared in an episode of The Saint in the same year as Goldfinger came out. Same registration, different colour. In The Saint it was red.

Back in the 60's my mate Rex had a Bond car.

A Bond Minicar. That was also red. It was awesome! And really scary!

T'was an episode called 'The Noble Sportsman', Anthony Quayle owned the DB5, his daughter was played by Jane Asher, his wife was played by Silvia Simms and her lover was played by Francis 'I was the voice of Captain Scarlet so I was' Matthews....

On a (trivial) related note, after a nine year stint in the Navy (not as Commander Bond, obviously) and four years as a turbine blade polishing operative with English Electric, my Dad started working for an export business near Watford Gap services in 1968, one of his first jobs was packaging up one of the Bond DB5 stunt cars for shipping out to Ian Flemings gaff in Jamaica.

I've just watched some stuff on YouTube, I really don't understand how the hell the Russians aren't all dead with the way they drive, they don't appear to have any understanding of the most basic rules of the road, there's a car coming the other way =overtake, there's a car coming the other way = pull out of the junction, it's snowing and -10 = drive faster, it's incredible to watch!!!!
