Yes, the Triumph clutch is a wet clutch fed by small holes between the crankcase, so the main (in the frame) oil tank with R40 feeds the crankcase, valve train pushrods oil pump and I run a light weight Oil in the clutch.

I did this by filling the holes between crankcase and and clutch with aldrite.
Interesting stuff, Fatboy. Thanks thumbup Did you make a separate filler for the clutch side?

Aldrite? Is that like Belzona? Or do you mean Araldite?

One of the chaps I work with was an enforcer for some cohorts of the Krays!!
Apparently he was a nasty piece of work, but only about 5' 8", when the chap I work with was around 14 or 15 he got stopped and searched on his way home by the police, he had a £50 note on him given to him by his dad, the police took it as evidence when they found out my mates name they were convinced it was stolen!!!

Many years ago, I had a girlfriend whose surname was Kray. Bugger all connection with Ron and Reg though, just thought I'd mention it.

Mind, she was a West Ham fan. Quite handy in a punch up too, clear a pub with a broken pool cue in a couple of minutes she could.

Happy days.

That's OK, Bomma.
If she had been a Millwall fan, then you would have had cause to be a bit apprehensive. yikes

It came as something of a surprise to find having a beer in the Blind Beggar didn't instantly turn me into a hard case. A bit tipsy, yes. Hard, no. I had such hopes too.

Charlie Drake and Diana Dors were often in the village when the local crook had parties - all a bit odd to considering it was a long drive from London and sod all around here then apart from a very bleak pre arsoned Victorian farmhouse up a track.

Confidentiality matters. wink

I worked with someone who's daughter was getting bullied at school. She dad a day off sick when it was Ronnies funeral, the next day when the bully asked where she was, she said she'd been at her uncle Ronnies funeral. Didn't have any trouble after that!

There is that.
They had the farmhouse timber sprayed (paraffin) and roof repaired (slates removed from the back) just before the fire.
The next place the crook did, about half a mile away, was a huge Georgian mansion which also had timber treatment and repairs just before. Insurers just thought it was really bad luck apparently.

When I was about 12 we used to get into the Georgian ruins and liberate stuff. I’ve still got some false book spines from the secret door between the library and billiard room and a 1932 Kempton Park Races programme.

It's funny isn't it, I grew up in a council estate on the edge of some woodland, there was a very good Catholic school called St George's buried in the corner of the woods and the bottom third of the road bordering on our estate held expensive detached properties, it was rumoured that amongst the people living there were both the Mayor's chauffeur, evidenced by the mayoral car in his drive occasionally, a prominent bishopy type, a couple of lawyers and the local crime boss, as evidenced by the periodical visits by the police!!!

I grew up on a council estate in Northampton, we often had the police round the house.

Not that there was much wrong-doing, one of our neighbours was a copper and was good friends with my dad.

Dog handler he was, had a bloody massive German Shepherd called Robbie. I remember he won some sort of award for apprehending a gunman, bit him on the leg I think.

Robbie, of course, not the copper. Even in those days I think that sort of thing would have been frowned upon.

I grew up in the East Midlands, local copper was a nasty piece of work....long story - he ended up causing my dad to make a complaint aginst him for harrassing me - however, he met an early end due to THAT particular disease.

Trivial news, the late Graham Chapman and i went to the same school, although not at the same time.
