Sometimes you just have to show where the boundaries are, regardless of age and gender. We Don't have children so I'm probably not realistic in my attitude, however, I feel that children are given far too much freedom and allowed to get away with far too much. It appears to me that parents control their kids with electronics and not by engaging with them.
See previous comments, daddy didn't want a girl only boys so has little if any interest in her and mummy only really likes babies so has no interest in her because she is developing a character.
However if i say anything, Lady Slopes doesn't speak to me for hours......

Hi. I'm back.
Even though I didn't tell you I was going, I went anyway. Out.
Ostensibly out to the shops.
( We had run out of black pepper. )
I may have inadvertantly called in at the Flying Cockroach to liberate a couple of pints of Trooper that they were holding hostage there.
I thought about having the Guinness, but that would have meant there wouldn't have been enough for the proper dedicated drinkers making a speciak effort on Paddy's Day.
I am just one considerate guy, to be sure.
I have turned the heating on at home now to show a bit of compassion for the icy Mrs.Robbo.
Compassionate and considerate, that's me.
Keep up the good work, slopes.
They need to realise that in your house, they have to abide by your rules. You monster!
Consistency is the key. No deviation. They must stick within the boundaries.
They will eventually come to respect them and you, and they will be all the better for it.
Kids will always try to explore the limits, it's their raison d'être. It is reassuring to them to find those limits through careful guidance and trial and error.
The alternative is unbridled chaos, which eventually would inevitably lead to a total breakdown of society, and a rabble without morals or values.
A bit like we see out there every day...

I'm afraid to say slopes, I don't think the relationship has much of a future, I could well be wrong I often am, but it doesn't sound like a great foundation for a marriage.
Mine or their soon to be marriage?Well the thing is, the mum is the apple of Lady Slopes eye, so despite her having the worst vocabulary of anyone i know - it's mostly profanity - she can do no wrong and it's all her boyfriends faul as his family is 'trampy'. Despite Lady Slopes other two children telling their mum that actually no, she was like that from about the age of 12, Lady Slopes will not hear a bad word about her precious perfect little girl.
And she wonders why i'm either on here, listening to music or have my head in a book.
If you meant our marriage, it's okay thanks
