Well, if we assumed a reasonable average length for a cable tie would be say 8 inches, that's 40 million inches. Divided by twelve gives us 3,333,333 feet - divide that by 5280 equals 631 miles (as near as fk it is to swearing)

I think it's about enough to go line of sight from Lands End to John O'Groats with a little bit left over.

I'm afraid it's been a bit of a slow morning so far.

But a great piece of trivia. I'm sure that the citizens of John O'Groats are ready.yikes

In fact, if they were laid end to end along the road using the A1 route, they'd go from my garden to the middle of Hartlepool and back, then back to Hartlepool again.

Quite why you'd want to do that is anyone's guess. Food for thought, though.

When we're in Hartlepool we can visit HMS Trincomalee. She was built in India, you know. Outsourcing is not new. Sri Lanka probably, seeing as Trincomalee is a place there.

Sounds reasonable, I'll meet you in the car park. We can 'bank' the spare six miles in case we get a bit lost on the way back.

We'd no doubt end up a bit something anyhow drink

Indeed, I'd quite forgotten the Trincomalee's there. Lovely old thing she is.

We could offer them some cable ties to assist with the maintenance, might be handy for patching the rigging up. I'm sure we'd have a few spare.

I've lost about 3 KG today.
Shaved off excess face fuzz,1 KG.
Had my annual haircut,about 2KG.

Lovely lady barber massaged my baldy head at the end.
