Not really sure about the 'gastronomic expert' business old chap, I have to confess to eating some crap food at times. Tonight's culinary delight for example was a fish and chip starter followed by a mixed kebab main, raspberry trifle for dessert.

It was a Friday night 'treat' though. I do try to nibble on a carrot and the odd lettuce leaf during the week.
There you go: straight from the mouth of our very own Bomma:

Reminds me of an incident in a pub I used to frequent. One evening, I presented the very attractive barmaid with a nice fresh lettuce.

"For me? How kind. Why a lettuce though?"

"I wanted to confirm if the rumours were true. I need to know if you eat like a rabbit as well."

After watching that film, I was always kind of half expecting Martin Brundle to start exhibiting symptoms of fly-like behaviour whenever he was presenting his pre-race pit lane walkabout interviews on the televised F1 GP coverage.

And then to see Bernie Ecclestone brandishing a giant fly swat...

Of course, some years previously, it was a Japanese TV commentator's worst nightmare to have Martin Brundle and Mark Blundell racing neck and neck! rofl

Only twice.

And each time I woke up hours later under a hedge, covered in dew & cobwebs. yikes

But that may have been due to the home brew...

I've woken up in a hedge twice, that had nothing to do with inhaling and everything to do large quantities of alcohol!!!

An underated band, in the UK at least. Punk when there was no Punk. New Wave when the sea was calm, and Rock when the summit had been reached. My favourite track, 'Gotta Get Away'.musicclap

Unfortunately neither, first time very drunk on the way back home from Southampton, we lived about 3 1/2 miles outside of the centre and were walking home in the early hours, I decided I'd had enough of walking so stumbled into a bush along The Avenue and stayed there!! Second time possibly even more drunk walking back to a mates house in Romsey from the town, waded into a bush for a pee, fell over and woke up in the morning!!!
