I was concerned Battert had locked you in the library ,whilst you researched TT code book IX.

He likes to get away early due to POETS day n stuff.

That's the library as mentioned few weeks ago with zero books ,apart from a Haynes manual for a 1976 Fiesta.

GR where and when are you meeting up on sunday ?
After I have paid out a not inconsiderable amount of money to get the TVR mot'd I want to use the damn thing now.
(ball joint, brakepads, rear wheel bearing and an assortment of rubber bits)
Hi GOG wavey

We're assembling in Denton Sainsbury's car park for a departure at 10am prompt.
It's just off the M60/M67 Junction at Denton Island. I'll be there about 09:30

Address is Oldham Street, Denton, M34 3SJ

There is a Sainsbury's petrol station on site to fill up before we set off.

For route details you can contact Mike Mahon, via the GMMC TVRCC Forum.
I think it will also be on Facebook, but I don't do that. Too scary! yikes

We've got a WhatsApp group set up for the run as well.

It'll be good to see you there, and a great opportunity for you to try out your new rubber things!

Oooh - err missus!

Are you planning to join us on Thrills in the Hills this year?
It's on Saturday 25th May starting from Hassop Station Cafe at 10:30am prompt.
Not to be missed! Details are on the forums.
Cant make thrills in the hills this year, we are going away that weekend.
I will talk to my diary and check that I am free on Sunday before I commit myself

Excellent advice old boy, thanks. I'll don my boiler suit with the aforementioned confectionery on display as suggested next time I visit.

I had considered taking a roll of carpet and some duct tape with me but the Yorkie Bar's much less of a faff smile
No no no no no!

If you are slim enough to don a boiler suit, you aren't a bona fide trucker!

Think Man, think! rolleyes

I really can't believe you are going to miss the biggest TVR driving event of the year!
We have a guy who is shipping his TVR over from the US of A to join us this year!

A hundred or more TVRs wending their way through some of the most spectacular roads in the Peak District? ,
How can you not be there?????

ION, I have just returned from my valiant foray unto the Flying Cockroach, I have prepared a fine repast of grilled gammon, spicey potato wedges, baked beans with chilli powder and a good splash of Worcester Sauce and a nice fried egg to top it all off. Yum! lick

And for Dessert?

Who knows?

What would you recommend?

Grandbomma's vote is for sliced banana and custard. With a little bit of nutmeg sprinkled on it yum

OK, Sliced banana and salted caramel yogurt it is! With a couple of crushed ginger nuts sprinkled on top for added textcha! lickcloud9

Tell Grandbomma thanks from Robbopops! thumbup

Very satisfying to pulverise the ginger nuts in a poly bag with a rolling pin!

And a satisfying whisky chaser to follow. drink

It's a thumbup from GB to Robbopops. Her favourite ice cream at the mo is salted caramel, so a good choice there.

I'm having a couple of apple donuts and a nice cup of tea, might try a nip of the Reykjavík Cognac in a while. There's a crate of it in the hangar, it needs using soon if anyone would like a drop drink
