I’m up, after finally managing some sleep. I’ve had a visit from the district nurse to change my pin site dressings (I do find it amusing the way they refer to 6mm diameter, 200mm long steel rods as “pins”, but there you go). As the pins have been cleaned off, my leg is really stinging in ten different places - everything gets cleaned with alcowipes (ouch) then swabs soaked in chlorhexadine are applied (double ouch). They get held in place by bandages, allowing the soaked swabs to remain in contact where they need to (ongoing triple ouch).

Anyway, I did provide myself with a Full English. I’ve posted all the photos over in the “Show us a photo of your breakfast in the Food and Drink forum, but here’s a couple for you chaps. Don’t worry, The Idiot benefited from some “bits”m so we are both conked out on the bed!
