There's no application form here as far as I can see. When did you ask for one?

That's odd ,TT had dropped out of "My stuff" ,also found on page 2.....eekconfusedtongue out

Thread I was referring to last night ,I wasn't being trolled as such ,just someone who is obviously superior to my humble self

in his opinion and had to have the last word with a faintly disguised diss of me.

Just took a look there ,well "Roadsmash" is obviously a perfect driver.

With a name like that ,i'll assume he may not be.

Spaghetti......Nom .

Can't remember if I posted my crunched Fiesta there ,I might contribute.

Clicked ignore on a thread until it moves onto a new relevant topic ,one poster took a swipe at me and has to have the last word, so I'll ignore until something new to discuss.

I'm sure he's a returned bannee, too full of crap to be a genuine noobish.
wavey Morning all! Have you noticed how the nights are getting shorter now that Spring is on the way? smile

Which thread are you referring to, Peri?
I can't find it but I hate cyber bullying of any kind. Trolls that do that are sad people who need reporting to the Head Teacher.

Or Bomma could set Penrose on him.

The troll, I mean, not the Head Teacher.
scratchchin Unless the Head Teacher is a bully. confused

That was no party, Bobbers, it was a thing we did back in '67 at the Crow's Nest in Tring to raise money for an orphanage that we had adopted.
It took skill, perseverance, dedication and total commitment, but we were triumphant.
Several officers were upended to relieve them of any loose change during the proceedings.
Some gave willingly to avoid this ignominious treatment.

The rest is history, lost in the mists of time gentlemen please. All I remember is, we were very very drunk. drunk

Who knew Tring was such a swinging place, eh. I swung through there last night at 75mph with a motley selection of troublesome trucks in tow, a 'fly boy' container train no less which reminds me, I've often wondered what's actually inside those containers trailing behind us in the dead of night.... everything from carrots to condoms, probably.

Said goodbye to the wee Jap spec 1275 Mini today, there's now a nice empty space in the garage which needs filling...

Note to Dicky C - wire wheels were standard on early Marcos GTs, the more common mag alloys were an option at £20 a corner in those days wink

That Mini is lovely, do you mind me asking how much? I've always fancied a proper Mini but tales of rot always put me off!!!

Thanks, it's a shame to see it go as I had big plans for it but the 'upstart' auto box wasn't playing ball so it was time to move it on, I got the asking price which was £3750. If the gearbox was ok I'd have been asking for £5k or thereabouts. The new owner is cockahoop as he had Minis when he was younger and wanted one with a bit of a '70s look to it. This one is rock solid being a Jap export car, this was the main reason I bought it in the first place.

Superb!!! Many years ago I worked with a chap who had two 1275GT's one a pristine black one which was pretty much standard, the other a red one which he raced, if my memory serves me it was running a 1320 Longman engine, adjustable suspension, caged, stripped out the works, he took me for a blat in it and I was shocked at how quick it was!!!!

It’s not about the money though, it’s about the hobby and use of a real thing.

Tell that to the youth of today.....

Minis always feel faster than actual reality.
The straight cut gears noise doesn't help.

My last one was 1380 with massive wheel arches and a bloody great straight through exhaust. One of my last escapades was hitting a pub car park bollard so hard the front wheels were pigeon toed to the extent it was almost unsteerable. I screeched home over 4 miles and my housemates could hear me well before they saw me.
If I was even slightly sober I would never have got home.
