Discussion
I knew about the Inocenti Mini's, seen a few advertised so looked them up, lovely things with leather and walnut and all sorts!!

Innocenti originally produced minis that were almost exactly same as British produced cars but later on the genius Marcello Gandini designed a hatchback that they made well before British Leyland brought out the Metro.
There was a woody mini estate in the auction last week.
The wood wasn't structural unlike the Moggy Minor traveller.

Wow, what is that red one actually? Quite like it.
Not 100% on name,Innocenti built locally made Austins but with some different bodies. This one had a Sprite 40 years sticker,so the consensus was it's a better looking Sprite type.
They also made Minis and 1100 type cars, one called the Primula.
Alas, only 400 odd something coupes built according to the sme beard on the subject.

Forgot to mention,as usual.
On arrival at the show today, the people at the entrance were in uniform of the Carabininieri and had a correctly liveried Land Rover too.
They didn't even check my ticket properly and told me I was the second Barchetta of the day.
Made me smile.
Got a beep beep and thumbs up on the M25 on the way home too, from a Corsa van driver.

Our window cleaner, Simone, is Sicilian.
Not a Mafioso.
He is a Jehovah's Witness. Lovely fellow, very friendly and chatty, but he has never tried to preach or convert me to his beliefs.
He probably knows that I am a lost cause.
No. He doesn't come all the way from Sicily to clean my windows.
He lives with his wife and family a few miles from here, but visits his homeland annually if he can afford it.
He says that from next month there will regrettably be a 50p increase in his charge.
That's 10%.
But it is the first increase for three years.
Do you think I should bow to this sort of extortion?
Or risk waking up with a horse's head in my bed?
Nightmare decision! _
