Teacher: Can anyone tell me a sentence that uses the word 'nice' twice?
Little Johnnie: Miss! Miss!
Teacher: Er, Chardonnay?
Chardonnay: I have a nice family and live in a nice house, Miss.
Teacher: Very good, Chardonnay. Anyone else?
Little Johnnie: Miss! Miss!
Teacher: Anyone? Er, Jayden?
Jayden: I go to a nice school and have a nice teacher, Miss.
Teacher: Very good, Jayden. Anyone else?
Little Johnnie: Miss! Miss!
Teacher: Johnnie?
Little Johnnie: Bobbers brought cake in and wouldn't share it and I said, "Oh, that's nice, that's fking nice."

That's what I thought, a couple of slices wouldn't have hurt much. Never mind.

Anyhow, when are we going to have a collective TT drink together?

I've tried to plan a convenient meeting point for us all on a map, I'm afraid it's ended up a few miles north of Guernsey in the English Channel.

Should we hire a boat? Move the whole issue to the Isle of Wight?
The Isle of Wight's a lovely place, although I can foresee some issues for some of us getting there!!!
I'm game for most places!!!

Could you replot using nonseq as Ground Zero? It would be nice for us all to meet up with him and if the venue is close to him - I assume he's a he - he will get a sense of positive inclusion.

August was your original plan, Bomma, IIRC.

Proceed.

[Having to maintain long periods of Radio Silence here. Apologies. All will become clear.]

London, then.

Jerry will concentrate all his efforts on London.

He'll never think about us tucked away in our little corner...

Wouldn't it be nice to share Nice biscuits in Nice?

Bomma, have you taken Bongtom's Cambodian location into account in your calculations?
I reckon that would sway the mean position to somewhere in the Eastern Med region. Possibly Cyprus, or maybe Beirut?
If the RDV co-ordinates happen to end up in a maritime location, we could always take the Sunderland, now that we've fitted the RATO pack to get her airborne from the moorland strip.
What could possibly go wrong?

Apart from Bobbers refusing to share his chocolate & stem ginger cake, that is! irked

You've fitted a RATO pack to the old girl? Hellfire man, you should be certified. I expect you probably have been, thinking about it.

Somewhere in the Med then. Off to the south of Malta would be nice, we'll see what happens.

I've not made your acquaintance, Chunks, but it's good to hear from a previous TT stalwart.
I presume you've popped up because you can smell an imminent piss-up? beerbeer Top man! thumbup
( This may sway Bomma's plotting for the RDV co-ordinates a little. )

I was just searching the archives for TT Vol 1, but unfortunately it still hasn't been declassified:

"Nothing to see here." frown

So what was the date of the first post?
If it's not breaking any security protocols to answer my query dearie.
If it is, just whisper in code. wink

I'd just like to point out I'm not a strong swimmer, in fact I do a very creditable impression of a brick when I swim!!!

Don't worry Bobbers, you'll be fine in your Mae West and budgie smugglers.
Failing that, we could use you as a nanchor for the Sunderland. wink

Just a thought, does this event appeal to any of you?

It's quite close to Bommaland.

It would most definitely appeal, but I already have the last week of August off and the weekend 13th/14th/15th of September off so unlikely i'll be able to make it!! frown

I've had to bring the budgies in as there was a strong smell of singeing feathers.

How about North Norfolk for the TT Tea party?

North Norfolk would work for me, there's some nice pubs around Cromer.

I could give glenrobbo a ride on the old 'Blade, anyone else who's interested in fact.

Have a go on it yourself if you prefer, you'll probably do a better job than me.

I've just caught the tail end of a TV programme, a chap said that the most expensive Montblanc pen sold for £477,000.

HALF A MILLION FOR A SODDING PEN?

Well that was an interesting afternoon, 80 tools removed and cleaned ready for a Planned Maintenance break down and tool carousel deep clean, which we didn't know about until 0830 this morning!! rolleyes
Still it means I'm back on to the sister machine of the one I normally run for the rest of the week, and you know what they say about a change being as good as a pint of Absinthe!?!?

Absinthe! I've drunk it once a lot. Along side Belgium beer in Belgium. I was a tad tired the next morning.

Would it be correct to say that sir was "tired and emotional" the night before whilst consuming said Absinthe and beer?? yes
There's a really good bar in Southampton called Belgium and Blues, great selection of Belgian beers which you can buy by the 1/3rd of a pint, they serve 3 of them on a wooden paddle so you can try several, it's expensive but a really cool place to sit and sink a few, it's in a basement!!!

Speaking of which, I've noticed the post count's creeping up.

We'll need to have a proper look at the landing craft sometime.
