Well that was an interesting afternoon, 80 tools removed and cleaned ready for a Planned Maintenance break down and tool carousel deep clean, which we didn't know about until 0830 this morning!! rolleyes
Still it means I'm back on to the sister machine of the one I normally run for the rest of the week, and you know what they say about a change being as good as a pint of Absinthe!?!?
Absinthe! I've drunk it once a lot. Along side Belgium beer in Belgium. I was a tad tired the next morning.
Would it be correct to say that sir was "tired and emotional" the night before whilst consuming said Absinthe and beer?? yes
There's a really good bar in Southampton called Belgium and Blues where you can buy some fantastic beers by the 1/3 of a pint, they serve three of them on a wooden paddle so you can try several, it's expensive but a really cool place to sit and sink a few beers, it's in a basement!!!!

I'd certainly be up for the Sywell thing that glenrobbo mentioned earlier.

I could even try the Maverick thing on the old bike along the peri track. I know he rode a Kwacka Ninja but I reckon the 'Blade would make a fair fist of it.

So this Sywell thing, are we thinking of going on Saturday, Sunday or both??? I may be able to do the Sunday if I can convince Mrs Bobbers!!!

I know Sywell from my SAAB days.

The Sywell airport motel was the budget place to stay at for people attending courses at the SAAB technical centre at SAAB GB,

or whatever fancy name they had for it ,before they upped and moved most of it back to Marlow ,from whence they had moved from a few years

earlier.

Way to go SAAB ,how are they doing now ?......scratchchin

Either or both would be OK with me, I can bring a tent or arrange accommodation, we might have to share a khazi though.

Please bring Mrs Bobbers along too, if she doesn't like it you can blame me. I've been wrong before, once, I think.

Twice, in fact. I wish I'd never handed that bloody ring over grumpy

Only twice?!?!? I'm wrong at least twice a day!!!!
Used to work with a chap who had a great way with one liners, one of his was, "It's not often you're wrong, but today you're right!!"

I debuted my little plate I bought in Italy in May ,on Saturday.

I stuck it on with Bluetac ,didn't drive like that ,it would fall off.

Yes I did ask for F1AT ,not FIAT

Good idea ,but at the place I had the plate made I asked for BARCHETTA but that was too long.

Not sure what the max number of digits was ,but the rather lovely girl serving did speak impeccable English.

My opening line as always was "Parla Inglese ?"

Random thought alert - I'm looking at this thinking ''why wasn't the incredibly gorgeous boat tailed Alfa Romeo Duetto Spyder called a Barchetta…?''

I suppose we shall never know..... any road up, no feet up in front of the telly, no tiffin or pints of gin for me tonight, I'm off to work in a bit, another railway sortie over Oxford looms large. If only I drove Lysanders instead of rubbish GM built diesel locos... rolleyes

I tried that once, turned out she was a Turkish Cypriot.

She thought I was a bloody nutter at the time, turns out she was proved correct.

Would anyone like a bit of garlic bread? We've just cooked some in the autoclave. There's some nice lasagne coming out soon too.

I have spoken with the light of my life and she informs me i'm allowed to go but doesn't wish to cramp our style by being the only lady person there!!! So i'm down in Southampton, as i've said i can do the Sunday, if people are roughly on my journey up i can provide transport for three more wayward souls, who's in???
