Tell Us Something Really Trivial About Your Life (Vol 31)
Discussion
I clambered into the cockpit of the C-Ma_ this morning, and set off onto the rainswept Road that led to the T-junction onto the A6.
Left to head directly towards our TVR Nomads meet at Chesterfield? , or Right to drive over to Percy's lock-up where he has been slumbering for a month and risk the floods?
The weather was awful, the forecast even worse, so it was a tough call.
It was a complete surprise to see my bro-in-law Barry had come out to play in such grotty weather. Especially as he had driven up from Essex in his white S2
He said "Well, it was too wet to be doing much on my allotment, so I thought I'd come up and see how you were getting on".
Bonkers!
Have another TVR pic:

Jamesons is lovely and smooth, if funds can stretch and you can get some try the Redbreast 12yr old, it's really rather nice, I've just finished off a bottle of the Redbreast Lustau finish which was sublime, sweet start rolling into fruity toffee with a lovely lingering cakey finish!!!

Mmm good call. Amazon might be needed for a purchase of redbreast I'm thinking,as France can be a wilderness for good stuffMmmmmm, cakey finish.
Are we having cake at the anniversary celebrations?
Yoy know, along with the Dock Leaf and Moatwater jelly, and the sheeps parsley unfrozen ice cream.
Peri, as far as I know, the perspex/acrylic/polycarbonate/whatever material spoiler was a generic TVR part available to fit both the Sagaris and the T350 variants to order.
I do like the look of them, with their exquisitely engineered alloy brackets.

Thanks for that info GR ,saw a Sagaris at Silverstone ,don't like the back end much ,the side exit exhausts make it look a bit "busy".

Tuscan challenge car for the road and FTW.
I really enjoyed the Tuscan challenge BITD ,some great names driving including a G Marshall.
They were ace with the Rover V8 but got double awesome with the introduction of the AJP V8.

That road-going Tuscan Racer is a regular at our Manchester, Merseyside & Cheshire Regional meets.
The owner has done a really good job.
The Tuscan Challenge was an awesome spectacular race series for drivers and spectators alike, always plenty of action.
Did you ever see them racing at the Birmingham Superprix?

We'd better get Bomma to drag the Tardis out of the back if the hangar and give it a pre-flight check.
I'll have a look at it in the morning. I know there's some cases of North Atlantic Port in it, they'll need to come out.Glad you managed to give Percy a run out today old chap, good stuff. If this weather keeps up for much longer I reckon I'll sell the old bike, I was only going to keep it until the end of the summer anyhow.
Much the same thing I suppose

Sounds very nice indeed! Dou you reckon the triple distilled stuff from Glasgow (ok, Dalmuir) is any good? Keep being attrected to the name, but more compelling stuff tends to pop when I'm on the hunt for bottles so far.P.s. Had some Arran Marsala yesterday. Not too shabby for a NAS.
P.p.s. Lustau added to shopping cart.

Having nuts and raisins with my coffee this morning as I don't like to drive long strectches on a full stomach. I'll do a late breakfast in a couple of hours time when 'we' arrive in Germany. They say the food down there isn't the wurst anyway.
Going to check now if there's anything to do at the Nurburgring this week as I'm only about 40 kilometers away the coming week. Which I've only just realised..

I'll happily admit to never trying the Dalmuir stuff, the Auchentoshan American oak is a multi award winner but personally is eclipsed by the 3wood, much more to my liking more depth with a tremendous finish, it's another heavily influenced by sherry, and the distillery is just outside Glasgow, it you want something different which tastes like drinking Christmas cake, give the Glenffidich 15yr old Solera vat a try, my God it's lovely, fancy something with an ending tasting of warm Turkish delight? The Arran Malt Amarone finish, starts very fruity turns caramel in the middle and leaves a lovely lingering Turkish delight flavour at the end, or my personal favourite at the moment Kilchoman Machir Bay, Islay malt with lovely smoke and subtle peat combined with that great sherry sweetness and a llooonnggg subtle smoke finish!!!!! /Lustau added to shopping cart.

The Great British Summer, no relation to Ann.
All that hot sticky sultry stuff was just an aberration caused by all the hot air spoken about Brexit.
Now that Boris is in charge, we can expect very little in the way of sunshine.
It's a bit like the lunatics running the asylum.
Which is comforting I suppose...
I should point out that I have no political allegiance, they are all as bad as each other. Except some are worse.

Arran Marsala? Sounds like a good cooking whisky, should go down well with a nice tandoori. P.s. Had some Arran Marsala yesterday. Not too shabby for a NAS.

I'm rather fond of the Bushmills.
To me, it tastes like... err.... um... a damn fine whiskey! Very smoooooooth.
Nuts & raisins? Are you a Fruit and Nut case?
Safe journey, Nerdherder, watch out for cyclists.
Especially if you decide to "do the 'Ring", thing.
You don't want to get one wedged under your front splitter for three quarters of a lap. Especially if he's still on his bike.
The Germans know how to do a breakfast, I can't see how the French manage to go all day on a croissant or a pain au chocolate and two bottles of wine...
