Same here!
They may fall to retail in a few months after another 10 J1 releases!
Think this is the year the trainer reselling bubble bursts, just too many releases so the hype cannot be built or retained after release!
Adidas seem to be pushing the nite jogger as their new model this year, just as much marketing as the new ultraboost 19! They need to step up big time this year as Nike must have hammered them last year!
Nike are already hammering them with amount of releases. I've seen the schedule and worldwide it's something like 5+ models a week launching for at least the next quarter. Not sure how that compares with Adidas but Nike will be dropping a ton of product this year. They may fall to retail in a few months after another 10 J1 releases!

How many Jordan 1's have we had already? 3 and it's not even the end of February yet!! I think so far in UK alone they've had 30+ drops already.

So flooding the market with re-releases was, is and will be the plan for the foreseeable. I gather that even in the period 2013-15, over 80 releases were put out there. Like x number a week.
It’s almost a uniquely interesting balancing act. Sell so much that the secondary resale market declines interest and income on your product, but kill the hype with it?
The data accrued by campless/Stockx on the market is obviously pretty good. Problem is they’re the only ones providing it, and that’s also the essence of their business model.
Then you add in the President of Jordan brand saying that they want to go “more limited” in future - a bit of a volte face from what Parker had earlier said - and better balance scale and scarcity.
This would inevitably make resellers happy as they know better margins will be round the corner. And as something like 30-40% of all Jordan releases offer next to no business for resale, then that will just pump up the market for the truly limited stuff.
Then you throw in the challenge that if one group owns the data (stockx), and also handles the trade then they’re in prime position to tilt what is by itself, a $5bn market. Soon, you could have Josh Luber, Stockx and co do such a good job of bringing true free market economics to the table, with all that transparent pricing information, that inevitably the value will drop on a lot of gear, consignment shops and chancers on eBay struggle to make a buck, and then you have the Amazon of trainer resale in effect killing the hype that Nike itself needs to shift the new colourway in the first place!
This game.

I know these were super popular, I just cant see why, the tongue looks mad, love a presto for its shape, the padded tongue just ruins it!
Well done for wearing a £400+ trainer though!
The tongue does seen like an afterthought, but I kinda like it. Well done for wearing a £400+ trainer though!
I always said that if I managed to get a pair of these I’d wear them into the ground, so that’s what I’m currently doing.

Yep... sadly I couldn’t make it to Berlin last weekend as stuck in work, but being able to have a good look at them is still decent
Were there ridiculous queues to get them or was it not too bad?Westyrs said:
Where does everyone get their Edwins from
... would be nice to try in store for size but looking online these appear to be internet sales only.
Not sure where you are but there's a store near me in Sutton called The Projekt. They don't sell online but have 2 physical locations. Very VERY good store & staff. ... would be nice to try in store for size but looking online these appear to be internet sales only.
