Fair enough, the £15 postage sounds like theyve used a courier and its insured to value

2% fees isnt bad either i guess when you look at some of the stuff thats America only release - been looking at the Jordan 1 football boots/cleats, £88 on stockx, ebay is £120+P&P+import fees

You’ve got a good few years before they’ll spoil.

Have a read here. If the trainers contain polyurethane (PU) then you run a risk of midsoles crumbling due to oxidisation. This is why Jordan 1’s can last 30 odd years and don’t show too much decay due to a rubber mid/outsole and leather upper compared to Jordan 3,4,5’s and so on and so on and air max’s which have more plastics and a PU midsole which doesn’t last the test of time and requires sole swaps.

It’s not just Nike too other brands suffer the same issues. I remember watching a video on YouTube about an adidas shop somewhere abroad which had loads of OG classics which were toast due to just being left in the boxes for decades.
Thanks Matt.. interesting read.

Not always - since they changed their processes StockX is now a two tier market and we seem to be losing out this side of the pond.

Example - want to buy J4 Travis Scott? Lowest ask c. £800. Meanwhile, pairs are selling for £500-600 and there are loads of pairs showing available at that level, but you can’t bid on them due to location. Not really the global marketplace they claim...

Is that what it is when you see prices and cant click. So basicly all they do now is match Europe to Europe if they can

Wife of 21 years since 18 years old decided she would shag someone else and cheat on me in July found out in August. Also business partner (most stupidly in her name so the majority of that has gone as well) so loss of income and wife but on the plus side I managed to gain a mortgage for the house as needed to buy her out!!
Wow, not nice mate! All the best moving forward!

Cheers mate, I’ve come out of it with my head held high and the lady I’m with is showing all the signs of being a cracker. The money will look after itself I’ve built it up twice before so third times a charm.

Anyway enough of my self pity and apologies for the thread de-rail, back to the trainers.

So im looking at the Jordan 1 TD 'cleats' and as far as i know, they was American release only, went as far as clicking on confirm purchase to see and it looks like it will let me.

Cleats are Buy it Now @ $99
Handling Fee @ $1.98
Shipping @ $17.50
But excludes sales take, which would be the 2% or would that be import duty for us

but then reading this;
https://help.stockx.com/s/article/How-does-shippin... that final price is the final price

Well hope all continues to go well mate!!

As for trainers, just got there for £40 delivered

They look great with jeans and are reasonably comfy! Perfect for work and as they are not limited/colab perfect beaters!

Ha!!!! Honestly I’ll do one. Let the think of a way to drop it into a video or something... we’ve got a few things in the pipeline that potentially could be really good

Cheers mate, I genuinely feel that I am out the other side now.

If you or anyone else needs to talk contact me. I know we’re are relatively strangers but this is a brilliant little sub community where us strangers look after each other, and if this has taught me anything it’s that we all have something we need to talk to someone about.

Appreciate it. I’ve got a fantastic network of friends and family, and I’m through it now. Getting on with life, and actually finding I’m not having to make the compromises I did when in the relationship. I see my kids loads and feel like a new me
