I love watching Nikes tracking.

Current custom shoes left Viet nam yesterday, Currently in South Korea. Nikes estimate by end of day tomorrow.
Up date on this. Nike must be using some sort of magic. As left South Korea. Arrived in Germany. Got to Castle Donnington and now in Southampton.

From dispatch this pair of shoes is going to arrive quicker than a standard nike order !

Pretty impressive to be honest. Is this your first pair of “By You’s”?

Second as have a pair of blazer lows after I ordered some Dunk deconstructed and they got stolen in the post. The blazers than arrived with glue marks on them. Lucky Nike only ended up charging me £30 for them.

If they don't. Maybe Nike will be nice gain. I don't have much luck with Nikes quality control.

Nice. Are they darker than the images you put up before? Oh and how’s the quality?

I’m hoping to be lucky... but, how would you say to do it to make it fair? If there was a perfect way then I reckon it would be found
My issue is they have made it no fairer and more complicated. I have no issue with the shoe being available to those willing to travel to or living in Manchester after all its a part of the shoes story.

Also infuriates me that they say they will reward peoples loyalty so if you have Liverpools you get early release, why? The people who tried for the Liverpools and didn't get them are now not worthy!?

Hanon and END operate great raffle systems. I've lost out plenty of times on both, but also won a fair amount!

You are never going to please everyone, but all this posting with a # and tagging people is just tedious as you know I am not really big into social media and I would much rather it not be used as a way to qualify to buy a product.

How would I do a fair drop? I would do a series of surprise releases, only customers with an existing account can buy a single pair. Its not like this trainer hasn't been previewed and reviewed, anyone who wants it is keeping up to date on things, as soon as they launched someone would be on social media letting the rest know, we are not talking Jordan levels of resellers here so yes some will re-sell however relatively few.

They are darker than the Mids with the same colour code Smoke grey what's disappointing was hoping for them to be lighter.

This is them next to Wolf grey and Natural Grey

Size is a bit odd they measure about the same as Jordans but less snug

I had a pair of AF1's on the shelf for a while and spending time on Youtube, there's a whole genre of customising. Dipped my toe with Dior 3M design and this is my first attempt. Really happy with them. Daughter loved them, so another pair arriving tomorrow and will do the same with hers. From far, it looks good, but up close, you can see the mistakes, but I'm really into it and happy with this as a 1st attempt

Am buying some leather paint and will have a go at some more custom work on some other pairs.

Clickable thumbs

Cool custom! Any links to the 3m paint used? Did you use your own stencils or purchase them?

Strange the smoke grey shades vary per silhouette.

Also I really regret not getting those Natural Grey J1’s when I had the opportunity.

All stencils. Got them from here:

https://thecustomshopp.com/collections/3m-reflecti...

They have LV and Fendi in the 3M and others in non reflective.

The 3M needs an iron to apply and I bought this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Clover-CL8004GB-Mini-Iron...

As it was my first time, I bought their "weeding tools", basically a couple of tweezers. I bought two pairs. The weeding was the most stressful part. The dot's on the i's were a pain, took me 3 lots of 2 hours before getting a clean A5 sheet.

I followed this tutorial

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0KyeraLHhg

The masking tape to draw the outline of the stencil is a great tip.

Good job and cool customs!

Not my thing with the Dior branding though - that's a bit MR2 355 for my tastes, but as I say, nice work otherwise smile

Some good points... to add, I’m not sure what that correct way to do it is. Like above, if there was a perfect way then it would be found...

Some years back a customiser friend of mine launched a shoe with Puma.
He was pushing for a ‘straight to TkMaxx’ release whereby the shoes skipped the high street/online and went to the bargain hunters. They weren’t keen, but I liked the idea!

Sounds like a great way to de-value both the brand, and the shoe itself.
