Everything’s gone off topic but I can’t help join in with Labrador pics.

Since we're off topic already, what's in the glass?

Came from a breeder who only breeds guide dogs.
Interesting. Did he arrive with you as a pup? Basically, what I'm getting at is - how much input did the breeder have before you got him?

Reckon that's what built the foundations of him being the dog he is?

Yeah, as a puppy, as soon as he'd had his injections.

It's just long term good breeding from someone who REALLY knows what they're doing, that makes him an utterly awesome dog.

Quite a clever move, that - going to a blind dog specialist breeder.

As that a plan you came up with yourself?

River, on the left; funnily enough bred by the Guide Dog Assoc. but didn’t complete training as she’s a committed squirrel chaser. Fabulous temperament (unless you’re a squirrel).

Yeah, brains as well as beauty mate. wink

An old boy who used to come into one of our pubs was blind with a black Labrador guide dog. She just had the best temperament.

That planted the seed and I took it from there.

All the labs posted look absolutely great.

My boy is fast asleep in his basket. He's dreaming of something though because his paws are twitching and he's making little growls and grunts. laugh

In all honesty I can’t remember (not from the ale). It was from a pub in Settle after a good, wet walk so it tasted fantastic.

He runs with my Mrs a fair bit and with me twice a week as well as daily walks, so that keeps him lean, I am not convinced he is pure lab so I would imagine that plays a part. We rescued him so will never find out! He weights about 32kg.

I will shut up now as you can tell I quite like him!

Good man. Who'd give a dog like that up?

I'd happily torture people who mistreat/abandon animals.

Complicated but he wasn't mistreated was just a change in the owners circumstances, ours is actually his 4th home which is mad as he is so well natured, we exercise him properly and did some training when we first got him and he is amazingly obedient!

The 2 labs above are quality!

Well you don't know me.

People who hurt/abandon/torture/hunt defenceless animals are fking scum.

Giving them a taste of their own medicine, wouldn't bother me in the slightest.

Moving on...

Any other Labrador owners on the thread?

I had to hide my trainers when mine was a puppy.

Lost a few pairs to chewing laugh

Just turned 10months. Hiding under the jacket. Should've got the trainers in shot, but elsewhere.

She wrecked 1 of a pair of Pharrel Williams HU Solar boosts, fortunately they were 50% off anyway, so I suppose I didn't lose anything (proper trainer maths).

She's lovely. Great coat too. wink

Regarding trainers, after getting about 10 pairs over Xmas/January there's no new releases or anything out there that appeals at the moment.

It's making me grumpy. getmecoat
