Says the guy who complains about bots buying up shoes.. yet on a youtube thread also defended a youtuber heavily involved in a site teaching people how to flip shoes... hmmmm confused
I have defended Tom, his channel and other things because he’s a mate. Crepchief I don’t agree with as a business. Get your facts straight before spouting nonsense.

Anyway, seeing as how I’m not a professional NBA player I’m off to drop all these on StockX and make some sweet sweet profit.

You absolute flute.

This seems to be getting a little out of hand.

You can buy SB Dunks without being a skater. You don't have to be a skater but it probably helps to either understand the culture around skating or the culture around sneakers.

Trouble with the skate trainers is there never that comfortable for walking around in.
The only one I've ever found to be uncomfortable was the SB Janoski - for whatever reason, they left me absolutely crippled. The cheaper - but similar looking - Satire? No problem at all, extremely comfortable all day long. I don't know why but the Janoski and I did not get along.

It does not matter about how much you spend, it is about understanding that skateboarding is a culture.

This kinda attitude is why Louis Vuitton now make a skate shoe.

Give it a rest.. Nike SB is a bandwagon brand, no more, no less.

I was skating back when you hot glued extra suede/leather to the outsides of £15 puma suedes or bought £20 shelltoes, because £45 was a lot to spend on a pair of Etnies/Es/Emericas.

I wouldn’t touch SB, not because my knees are too shot to kickflip, or I’d need to bore you with a list of long forgotten skaters, but because Nikes association with skateboarding means nothing to me. They are NOT a skate brand.

rofl Okay mate. Guys, better not buy Jordan 1’s/Blazers - this guy reckons they’re skate shoes.

No just saying nikes roots go deeper into skateboarding than your original post alluded to!

Absolutely hilarious this... I’ll absolutely bet anyone I’ve had more Nike SB dunks than anyone else in this thread, unless Nate is in here wink

Need to skate to have them, yeah ok... funny though for a Saturday night

As for understanding/not understanding the culture, it’s just BS, it’s like saying you can’t buy a football shirt if you’ve got 2 left feet (I’d insert a spinny eye face here if I could be arsed)

So the base shoe is just pink, it’s a GR release (as if that makes any difference at the minute, not like you can go in a shop and buy them even if they were open), but I got a cheeky heads up in about November time by a store (you know the skate stores that I’m not a part of the culture because I can’t kick flip) so booked a custom in with a guy for when they dropped... I knew they were plain, and being a car guy, obvs, got the livery put on them...

When did Dunk’s become SB?! I used to have wear them 15+ years ago and I am sure they were seen as basketball shoes then?

Ok... where’s the laughing emoji thing

This is brilliant...

If you’re so ‘into the culture’ why isn’t your local skate shop sorting you out? Cos I know 100% they sort their own and loyal customers out if there’s pairs they want

Also, I can’t be arsed with the Willy waving, I’m sure there’s people in here know my story - forgive me I can’t be arsed scrolling back to who said when they think of dunks they think of me, king of dunks, and got something else in the pipeline that’ll blow people’s minds... can’t expand until September though

03 I think without googling it (I know people could to show they ‘know’) but they had a few false start with them

There are dunks and there are SB dunks, dunks started in 80s sometime as basketball shoes

Ow they use to hooked me up with the mf doom highs, what the dunks, avengers, de la soul highs, mafia pack lows, twin peaks highs, black pack lows to name a few.

But i moved out of the area and for a time i got more into Janoskis as they had better board feel and lighter so drifted away from dunks for a few years.

Sb dunks came out in 2002, the original basketball dunk came out a year after the Jordan 1.

Though even when it was a basketball shoe a lot of pros would skate dunks if they did not have a shoe sponsor and influenced a lot of early skate shoes, Eric Koston admits his first Es shoe was heavily based off a dunk.

Looks excellent. Thats how they should have come. Just all pink was rather phoning in a tenuous link to the pink pig. The gulf is only slightly better, I think they were disappointing by recent dunk standards. Obviously still tried and failed to get them both laugh
