Lots of boxes ticked.

Council mitigating circumstances too - they are all remorseful.

Is it more or less council now we’re looking at it?
Even better.

Debate whilst out last night: the resurgence of “the bush” ... so, council or not.

I don’t think it is and is more pseudo-middle class but others thought it was massively council due to the lack of effort and cost involved to maintain etc...

I reckon any bush in a council garden would get ripped up to make way for a rotting Zafira and a bunch of plastic toys.
Middle class ones would be maintained, or allowed to get so big they cause arguments with the neighbors.

Def middle class. Council is shaved all the way. Young, old, fat, thin, always shaved. Bloody horrible.

The "nuclear" power station? Hmmm, you'd have to divert off the A55 to get to Rhyl and you'd really nead a reason, as if you wanted cheap you would hav egone to Prestatyn. Pre 1997 was "Going Green on the Grannies", post that Liverpool Smackheads exported. So which drew you in.........

Funnily enough though, I was from Sheffield and used to pretend to be from Rhyl on a night out in Liverpool. Scousers thought you must be an "ard-un" to have survived the pre Trainspotting Rhyl heroin culture.

Rhyl, 2002.
Why not comment since I frequented the place in that year and beyond for 3 or 4 years.

The rectangle the author comments on is correct. What a sthole.

Head away from the end of the promenade and you’ll find people who work for a living; trying to get by.
People have to be born somewhere unfortunately and you make the most of what you can smile

It’s understandable to do a detour off the A55 to Rhyl on the way to Anglesey.
Not many other seaside towns along the coast as big as Rhyl. Prestatyn certainly isn’t or wasn’t as thriving surely?

My lasting memory of rhyl was a visit to the water park back in the early 80s. Fag dimps floating in the pool.

I've not been back since, I can't imagine it's changed

I'd agree with that. It's not a totally clear cut distinction, but ime council women are always sporting the full Duncan Goodhew.

I quite like a full bush tbh.

On Saturday I went to our local town center. There are a few homeless people around. Anyway, there were a couple of rough looking council women walking into a Costa (with a young girl in tow, about 9 years old). Opposite Costa was a homeless man, who was coughing.

Council bh yells out "Hand over yer mouth, we don't want you're skank lurgies!"

I thought it was so out of order, I actually spent a bit of time, wishing I'd intervened and said something to her. Totally heartless and definitely council. Not a good role model for a youngster.

I really do wish I'd said something. frown

Have we had the Atherstone ball game yet? It's sort of a council version of the Eton wall game. Lots of NSFW language and thuggery.

I saw that - posted by some French friends - on FB. I'm quite shocked at it.

From the same esteemed organ...

Drinking at a bar called "Trebles", throwing a drink on the floor and getting kicked out, fighting bouncers, living on benefits after "leaving" her job at Tescos, ending up "on tag" and being called Deanna.

Why do you have to fancy the bloke as well to enjoy it?

I watched that all the way through and couldn't really see any rules. I saw there was a ball, beyond that it just seemed to be a riot?

I completely understand the internal mental dialogue / anguish on this but you did best to not, it would only have ended up with them refocusing on you and it probably getting messy, quickly
