Breadvan's posts were generally an utter delight, extremely intelligent and I'd say you learnt something from many of them. His legal arguments with others were a joy to behold. His passion and collection of cars was very interesting and clearly petrol ran in his veins somewhere.
Unless and until you upset him when he could become quite obnoxious. Anyway, didn't he emigrate somewhere exotic (Cayman Islands ?) - if Frank was somewhere like that, I think we'd be hearing about it !

I'd like to add a series of online car sales words to the council thread:

FULLY LOADED
BARN FIND
RUNS SWEET AS A NUT
NOT FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED (bonus points if it's on a 320d or similar).

There are a few others, but I can't remember them atm.

Single owner since new.
Starts and runs fine.
In great conditions, needs some TLC.

Bonus points for blurry pictures and no description.

NO TIME-WASTERS (when of course it is the seller who's wasting others' time).

That one is made all the better by how easy it is to check MoT records now.

"Age-related marks, dents and scratches."

Sorry? No. Marks, dents and scratches are not age-related.

Marks, dents and scratches are crash-related.
And being-fking-clumsy-related.
And lending-it-to-my-wife-related.

Starting a clunky motorbike in the garden and flicking revs into it for 40 minutes only for it to cough and splutter before cutting out. Same thing it did the last 12 times this same repair process was attempted...

You're being silly here. The world isn't perfect, your car will pick up stone chips, road debris marks, scratches from careless people trying to pass it in carparks (with their bags and jackets), from car park door-opening dings etc. It's just the universe.

Unless of course you never use your car and lock it in a vault.

I'm currently staying with family in a less desirable area, an area I am very familiar with as I grew up here. It's largely a mixture of low income families, single parents and whatnot in corporate housing, living alongside walking corpses who have lived here since the 1800's. It's fascinating viewing. My first week here they closed the entire street, filled it with armed officers and had a two hour stand off with a lad living around the corner. Still clueless as to why.

Other highlights include -

Ensuring your overweight 9 year old has a wicked fade and a piercing, plays outside in his or her school uniform (I say play, they smash things and scream) until some unkempt vaping matriarch gestures them back into the holding pen at 9:30+ pm.

There seems to be an on going cross garden tournament going on wherein the contestants are tasked with filling their overgrown gardens with various white goods, broken toys, assorted theadbare garden furniture. Number 8 appears to be winning this season due to the recent addition of what looks like half a trampoline and a horse box.

It's not too bad I suppose, on weekends nothing really stirs until early afternoon.

That's like the council types that use Facebook Marketplace to sell things that "just needs a wipe" - so wipe it Brandi-Lou and then advertise.

However, may I ask what is a 'wicked fade'?

A fade is a hairstyle
https://www.google.com/search?q=fade+haircut&r...

Basically go into a barber and tell them, "I want to show everyone I'm a proper knob".

I believe he's using "wicked" sarcastically although he should have spelled it "Wikkid".

If you think that it’s all starting to get a bit boring for you, you might want to try it from my side.
I’ve subscribed to PH for 2.5 years now, as Frank7, and only Frank7.
I don’t know if it’s needed, but all you doyens, or Founding Fathers of the Forum have my permission and/or blessing to approach the mods or proprietors of PH, and ask them to tell you if I’m telling the truth.
I have NEVER, repeat, NEVER, used any other user name on PH, than Frank7.
I subscribe to three other online forums, one in U.K., OCUK, one in the U.S., City-Data, and one in France, Complete France, I have the same user name on all these other three, and it’s not Frank7.
Frank7 is my one and only user name on PH.
Can we quit with the speculation now?
Frank, here's an offer.
I work around South and East London everyday. I know your street well (you mentioned it on another thread) and would be happy, at a time convenient to you, to drop down and shake your hand along the road somewhere. Don't need to know which house or any of that nonsense. Or even a quick pint somewhere nearby. I could then report here that you are indeed a real person.

Unless of course I'm a made-up poster too.

Now I AM worried yikes, but if you’re serious br_d, I can usually be found in The Ship, St. Marychurch St., or The Mayflower, Rotherhithe St, on Friday nights, and Sunday nights, and the Catholic club, Paradise St. on Saturday nights.
I don’t drink beer, just ask for double vodka Frank, the one with more hair, (albeit grey), than a 79 y.o. should have, but it’s short and tidy.
