Shouting in the aisle of a super market..
.. a feral family (3 generations) were shouting from one of the aisle to the other, and the volume didn't seem to decrease much when they were in closer proximity to each other. So much so that I actually did a double take for hearing aids - or lack of.

A lack of homeostasis caused by overbearing noise through the generations eventually altering gene expression allowing them all to understand each other at the expense of others in the same environment... a feral family (3 generations) were shouting from one of the aisle to the other, and the volume didn't seem to decrease much when they were in closer proximity to each other. I predict this amongst other factors relating to dysgenics will lead to speciation within 100 years.
