Judgenment required; I think I might know which way this goes hehe

Looks fine to me and I do the same! Are we doing it wrong? Personally I slice the bun, butter it, then tear it up and lob it in the soup. jester

Delicious, and something I do myself, but one not for polite company.

You’re joking, right? The whole country is Council to the bone. Free KFC is almost a dream come true. As long as they could wear boardiea and thongs, and get some tinnies, it’s all good!
Yes my lasting impression of Australia is that it's essentially the UK with all the decent culture taken out, so it's like Disney World for council sorts. Every Morlock I know who has gone there on their dream holiday spends forever harping on about it like it's some absolute paradise.

A bun? A bun? It is, dear sir, a roll. (Or bread roll for the lower orders).

Bap, batch, cob, I've not come across buns, unless he means the hotcross variety.

Yep. Teacake in Cumbria as well. And when challenged on the potential that a teacake has currents in it, point out that no. That would be a fruit teacake. A teacake is plain.

It's like a barm cake, but before oriental auto correct took a nibble out of it (and thank God it got nibble right).

A little guidance for you.
https://www.maggieoldham.com/blog/bread-etiquette

Full marks for breaking the bread, you're not a total animal.
Sadly though, deductions will have to be made for the absence of a bread plate and of course the multitudinal "lobbings" that have occured.
I can only assume you trusted to luck as to whether any of your companions, if indeed you have any, were doused in the "after spray"
At least you didn't cut the damn thing with a knife "shudder" A good effort. biggrin
