Nothing is a barrier to being council. It is a state of mind in everything you say and everything you do.

End of.hehe

Use of methinks. Council.
A popular word from the 15th century, before council was invented. Used by rich merchant types, out of work waggoners and middle class call girls. Its ancestery is without question and will become a word of the zeitgeist, and beyond, very soon.

We went full council yesterday - Mrs W had a late gig on Saturday night so we had a late breakfast/early lunch in the Civil Service Club, then onto Home Bargains and The Range to get wild bird food. Topped the day off by popping into Asda for a few essentials for lunch today. Feel dirty just typing this wobble

Give the lad a break. He was brave enough to admit to his follies in full public view. He went over the top council, all in one day. The least we can do if to give him some space to get through what must have been a devastating experience.

Good luck Davie.

(Costco next time eh?)

The Apple Store = Council

Was very busy, my son was getting a new I-tem and there was a wait, the clientele wasnt as Apple-y as I remember, some rampant body odours and the young chap who we spoke to and set up our appointment (who was very good at his job) said its been mental, so busy they cant shut the till due to all the cash.

Now, I expected the bulk of purchases for I stuff to be cards, but apparently not, he didnt say directly but alluded it but its basically people using cash income to buy stuff and evade tax, Apple stuff always has a value and is generally expensive so its ideal.

Not council per se evading tax but it just didnt fit with the image.

Apple phones became council with the success of the 3GS, see lots of iPhone users with a hole in the cover simply so you can see the Apple logo.

But too cheap to buy the expensive Apple cases which have Apple logos in the correct place (unless you buy a clear Apple case which must be the only Apple product in existence with no Apple logo anywhere on it)

A private gum, quite nice and its not cheap at circa fifty quid a month, ok, not David Lloyd or whatever but not cheap.

But, its amazing how peasanty and entitled the behavior is,

Leaving the toilets in a mess, pee on the seat, cant operate a toilet brush,

Divest all the debris from their cars onto the car park, including glass bottles

Park your Lamborghini in a disabled space despite no obvious disability or badge, appreciate not all disabilities are visible and disabled people can own Lambos but think its just laziness, like the parking on the double yellows outside the door, going to exercise ffs, would a short walk kill them ?

Leaving weights everywhere

Leaving bottles on the floor when empty.

Sticking chewing gum on equipment

Reserve a locker for your own use only, by leaving a padlock on it when you leave.

I think gyms are breeding grounds for self centred, ignorant, entitled, narcissitic stbags, obviously not all but it does amaze me how disgusting some folk are, having money seems no barrier to being council.
Inform the gym about the padlock thing; my local Puregym comes round and removes any padlocks in the small hours at the weekend with bolt cutter, then chucks anything inside in a bin bag and leaves it for the selfish gits to pick up.

There's normally something in the Ts and Cs about not leaving your stuff in lockers permanently.
Or Just add a second Padlock smile

For the avoidance of doubt, Aldi/Lidl are not council!
The quality of their food / drink is not council, the majority of people in there are though.

Popped in yesterday afternoon, thinking it would be quiet; was full of council & feral types.
People tend to shop locally. So your experience says more about your area than Aldi.
Going to a supermarket rather than getting it delivered at your convenience. Council.

Frivolously using a dearer supermarket because you're too lazy to get off your fat arse to go to an (arguably) better quality supermarket, and save money doing so. Council.

Council estates are the store of home delivery for everything from fresh foods to Argos! The only thing that is more council than home delivery ... Taxis to/from supermarkets

Fresh food? Are you sure? It's all frozen stuff, isn't it?

I found myself in Poundland on my lunch hour and thought of this thread when I spotted a 50 something year old woman stuffing what appeared to be most of her weekly shopping into her fake Louis Vuitton bag. Council.

I've since had some time to reflect on my own situation and reached the following conclusions:
1. Visiting Poundland on my lunch hour. Council.
2. Being restricted to a lunch hour. Council.
