Downend and Fishponds are pretty much adjoining districts of Bristol, and both are well East of the city centre. 5.6 mile round trip there would be 45 minutes max.

Stop breeding.
Started thinking Downend and Fishponds were more kids as I scan-read that post!

It must turn young Brit guys of 18, 19, and 20 into apoplectic raging nutters to hear “No”, when they ask for a beer in the U.S., having been going in pubs back home for a year or two.
On another note, in the late seventies, I drove my American girlfriend, and her friend, both twenty, back to college in Binghamton NY from NYC.
I pulled into a diner, near Hancock NY for a sandwich, and asked for 3 beers, the waiter asked for the girls ID, I said, “It’s okay pal, I’ll vouch for them”, he came back with, “they may be your daughters sir, but I have to see some ID.”
Screams of laughter, and a faceful of egg.
Did you drive your Cabvisionmobile all the way from your yard in Rotherhithe to Binghamton NY??

Hundreds of Jakies queue up outside Watt Brothers store as the chain collapses hoping to bag a bargain to find out nothing is on sale having stood around like a prize prick since 5am in the pissing rain.

Nice try, but no, to the best of my recall, I was probably driving a late model, (then), Chevy Monte Carlo, picked up at JFK, and parked in E 98th street in Canarsie, Brooklyn, my then inamorata’s house.

Yes - from another article:

"But many have also expressed their shock at the revelation that she had given birth to her first child with Noel when she was 13 and he was 18."

So he was an adult and she was a child.....

Serious question - shouldn't he be in prison / on a register for that?

You'd have thought so. Even if no-one pressed charges it's still statutory rape.

I have a suspicion that they aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed, and they may also possibly be blood relatives.
