It's a unique accident, but it's not really an example of unlikable underclass and abhorrent behavior.
Funny thing is, my colleagues son did a similar thing last night, screwdriver through the hand whilst trying to dislodge something, a plastic Meerkat wasn't involved though.

I just saw the news tonight. Looks like a lobby group is trying to give more British deprived children free school lunches. They interviewed a child and his seriously obese mother. Can't afford food??? More like his mum had been eating her boy's share too, plus spending child allowance at Greggs.
I didn’t see the actual news item on TV, but a friend sent a WhatsApp which started with Mary Nightingale reading the item, then went over to the morbidly obese mother being interviewed with her child.
At this point a deep Cockney voice began a voice over, describing the woman and the scene in choice terms, bemoaning the fact that obese people are demanding that their kids get free lunches, culminating in saying, “We must be the biggest cu*ts in the world in this country.”
It wouldn’t matter how PC you were, it would crack you up, and I don’t mean that hungry kids would crack you up.

This local art that probably cost the council more than my house cost.

Also one for "up the arse corner".

Same as food banks... There's a lot more of them compared to 10 years ago, true. Is there more need? No. Chubby slobs will queue up anywhere for a free handout, and the word's out!

Perhaps the most 'council' conversation I've ever had involved one of my neighbours asking if he could borrow(read: have) some money from me because he couldn't afford to buy his daughter's pack lunch for the day, he was massively obese and smoking as he effectively begged. I said how surprised I was that she was not entitled to free school meals(as she should be - it's not her fault what her parents are like) to be told that she was but "doesn't like them".

Edited - made a right pig's ear of that post.

It was the lack of blood that got me thinking...

Not sure where to post this - not necessarily council but the second time this little fella has featured in the local paper in the last few days after his cat was run over, so slightly irritating now.

Not sure how a 7 year old is able to judge accurately which cars should receive a 'stern scowl'.
Furthermore, how do we know the car involved was actually exceeding the 30 limit?

Maybe he's one of the 'slow children' identified by the warning sign? Shouldn't mock the afflicted.

I take my hat off to anyone trying to help people including Marcus Rashford. My point was that British hungry children are probably 99% victims of stupid inadequate parents and only 1% cash poverty. We can argue percentages here, but I genuinely believe lack of cash is a red herring.

We always get that on the local Facebook group when a cat gets run over because unsurprisingly most of them don’t have very good road sense. “People need to slow down”. Nope, cats need to look before they cross.
