Latest forecast nudges it north of NI, but still TS strength.

Definition of a tropical storm is sustained winds of 39-73 mph. Ie gusts are faster.

With fully laden trees that would be trouble.
Oh dear. Could be quite windy then.

Was still 30c today. Yesterday the wind was COLD, clearly part of what was hitting Montana et al, but today was very hot still.

Due to be 15c on Wednesday, though.

It's really starting to feel autumnal now, trees are really turning, and it's getting dark in the mornings. The short days are sad.

Yet facebook reminds me it was 29 degrees a few years back.

Track of Lorenzo still causing headaches. But... as per previous hurricanes around this time, it looks like it will be followed by a spell of warmer, settled weather. Time will tell.

Shocking day yesterday, always seem to get persistent heavy rain when I'm on standby which means I get phone call after phone call for flooding, just shy of 50 phone calls between 07:30 and 17:00!!

Netweather are predicting about 11mm here (Thames Valley) later today..... and another 11mm tomorrow.

I've not been able to make any meaningful progress on the exterior decorating, it has been a week now.

A check of the forecast shows all of the next 10 days are expected to be below 30c for the first time since April (or even March). We might have survived another summer.

Yep, I had the wrong kit for my commute home tonight, soaked. With you on the heat. Love sunny days on the bike or in the garden. But running in it is horrid.

Looks like western parts of the Azores are due a direct hit from Lorenzo - good luck to them!!

It will most likely pass to the north of NI, bringing strong winds and heavy rain. Winds will affect Ireland, SW Wales and Devon/Cornwall the most.
