Had to walk to pick the kids up earlier. Got fking soaked. Taking them away for camping next week. Weather looks moy bien for then. I'm going to make them hike over the peak district so that be character building for them.

I'll just leave this here.

It was bloody hot.

Also 26c in the bedroom last night until it started to cool off in the early morning. Fortunately it doesn't feel too bad, being only 27% humidity.
Was it not snowing there just a few weeks ago?
Yes. June 23rd. Up to 20" in places.

My car has done 200000 miles more than yours..
It is a bit low; work from home and cart the kids round in the wife's car. But it has better AC than hers.

Wow that was a lot of rain. All the dust around the place has turned to sludge. The roads are horrible.

Still warm though!

Pissed down for about for about 4hrs solid here in Guernsey, much needed, today is fresh and sunny which is perfect for me, another heat wave forecast for France, wonder if it will extend to here.

Couple of my friends are currently driving to Italy for a camping holiday....

The forecast is something nearing 40 next week I believe! I think they’ll be looking for a hotel!

So hot your tattoos appear to be melting?

As for this weekend, sunny interludes and not too hot, really rather nice here in the Thames Valley.

It seems that it is going to be a horror show of heat next week though. At least the Netweather "feels likes" have been down graded, the highest I can see here for Maidenhead is now 38c.

And Pug,

Do you think the Tuesday night / Weds morning forecast storms for our (Thames Valley / M4 corridor) area are fake news?

Increasing risk of big storms Tues night into Weds morning. Most likely area is a line north/south around the Welsh border, and obviously 20/30 miles each way. So west is best...

Edited to add latest map from Convective Weather:

Living in an elevated south-facing position in Shropshire with the ability to observe lightning over towards the Marches and down over Herefordshire, I'm looking forward to tomorrow night. Huge storm potential.

I've seen 39 degrees modeled for Thursday in Central London on one model...

It will be in the 40s in northern France, with a wind from that direction. Unlike the previous plume, real potential here to break the July record (36.7) and even the all time record (38.5).
